Current work in progress for the offline HTML5 hybrid app, please try it: https://checkvist.com/auth/mobile
We also have a separate feature pool for it:
We would really want to implement this in a new mobile HTML5 app for iphone/android devices first.
You have an excellent product that is fast and simple to use. Everyone will have different ideas on how to improve it (time tracking/project management etc) and I hope these get added but please make sure that at it's heart the product remains a fast and simple way to administer hierarchical lists. I have rejected so many other products because they take so long to do simple tasks which is where your product excels! Keep up the good work!191 votesAdminsashika (Admin, Checkvist) responded
Dear Adrian, thanks for giving your vote to this issue! We’ll try hard to keep the user interface simple – promise!
Allow the use of an OR connector to filter by #tag1 OR #tag2. Perhaps also allow OR for a general text search.136 votes
Good one, will be implemented eventually.
Put a task off until later. Either indefinitely, or have it appear again at a given date. For instance, if I need to have my car inspected, I can't do that until it is due for inspection next year. So if I create the task now, it should be either hidden, or placed in a "scheduled for later" folder until I can act on it. (This request will depend on due dates being implemented first.)104 votes
Embed existing lists/sublists, not just hyperlinks (similar to symlinks). Was: checklist of checklists
Active links. Ability to nest checklists. Checklist could be your own or someone elses that you are collaborating on. This provides the opportunity for more complex tasks102 votes
A note – checkvist provides a simple way to create links to other lists. To do this, start adding or editing a list item, and type lst: in the list item text. Read more about other tricks here: http://checkvist.tumblr.com/post/55179489998/a-quick-note-on-using-checkvist-for-online-research
To make sure that we don't accidentally destroy our precious notes or that those we share with sabotage them, support a revision history per note as Google Docs does.99 votes
Really good and useful request.
Regarding accidental data loss: Checkvist Pro account gives you up to 10 daily backups of all your lists. Not the same, but may help in some cases.
ability to linke notes with evernote would be great, this would allow to link all kinds of external documents to a task or checklist80 votes
We are testing integration with Evernote via Zapier: https://plus.google.com/b/114021845786371597651/+Checkvist/posts/SoiDZevJKdZ
While not select(entered) and editing on an item, it would be nice to be able to control movement of items VIM style.
Also, the ability to go down a certain number of rows.
e.g. 3j = (go down three)
Also, allow ctrl+alt+, and ctrl+alt+. to be used by just pressing , and .

We’ve added basic support of iPad to the Checkvist service. Please, read more at http://checkvist.tumblr.com/post/6973390391/checkvist-on-ipad-safari
Currently the "Due" dynamic list is special in the sense that most of the commands do not work there.
This is quite frustrating as it's probably the list I use more frequently.
The command that I miss the most is edit: if I want to change a task I have to click on the task, press gg to go to the task, edit it, go back to Due list
Having the option also to go to a search tag (ff) or to enter a new tag (tt) would be useful.59 votes

This service is perfect. But it would be more popular in my homecountry if it would speak my mother's tongue. Fortunately, there's not many words to translate. I would help translating (like I did at disqus.com).35 votesAdminsashika (Admin, Checkvist) responded
Thanks a lot! We’ll be happy to use your generous offer as soon as we have the internationalization infrastructure in Checkvist!
Please create Per Task-List rss for several options: all changes, New Tasks, completed tasks

I love checkvist and would like to use it like a gantt projet, I would like a timeline (it is a bit like an other idea of this forum about the deadline) for each list / sublist and associate ressources (not only a contact) to a list (task).
There are some good idea there: http://gantter.com
It could be interesting to switch between the current view of the like and a new mode "Gantt" oriented where lists become tasks and ressources become visibles.30 votes
3 colors just isn't enough. We are using this as a team, and we use the colors in multiple ways.29 votes
