In Google Docs, when select a text and insert a link,
it does a google search and shows a pop-up with the top-three results,
which is what we want anyway more than 90% of the time
I demo this awesome feature here
Would love to have this in checkvist
This can be done via the Google Search API (https://developers.google.com/custom-search/json-api/v1/overview1 vote
It would be great if Checkvist was available in IFTTT as a service2 votes
For deeply nested lists, the number becomes unbearably long:
"18.104.22.168.22.214.171.124.126.96.36.199.188.8.131.52.2.4.7. Football"1 vote
There is an option to switch on list numbering in a branch, using
1 smart syntax at the beginning of the parent list item
I think this is what you seek?
I.e. for the structure:
Filter by "A C" should match3 votes
Please expand the new feature (see http://blog.checkvist.com/post/175573362093/snacking-week-7-features-7-daily-updates) to inline editing and tasks via email.
I want by editing the item writing at the end of line +2w (or ^+2w if ^ is enabled) and Checkvist recognise this as a date (not open the Due date dialog).
This would be really useful in m.checkvist.com due easy entry a date.
Tasks via email should also working this way.3 votes
Given that default export is Markdown, import from Markdown is quite natural1 vote
It would be nice to have a price\cost calculation just like the time calculation (progress counter). We could use a specific tag like #100$ or $100 in each item, and the sum total would appear on the parent item.1 vote
Currently the shortcut to jump to the due tasks page is 'dd'. But this one also pops up the due date dialog when an item is selected. So my flow to go the due tasks page is (passive aggressively) hit ESC for a number of times and then 'dd'.
It would be more convenient to have shortcut that always behaves the same, no matter of the context.2 votes
To have the symbol to choose for the list where every symbol used represents a particular legend. Just as in power point presentation where we can insert legend1 vote
It seems for me natural to edit actual selected item, by pressing `enter` key when it is highlighted.
At the moment it creates new item below which makes me clicking all the time `enter` -> `escape` -> `ee` to edit item.
And I know it is me, not the checkvist, but maybe I'm not alone? :>2 votes
Only first "bold" marked text/word is formatted "bold", other following (2nd, 3rd) "bold" marked text is not formatted as "bold"1 vote
Diigo or OutlineEdit let you copy text from a web page & insert into an outline. They have browser extensions for this.1 vote
The use of shortcuts [CTRL + [Home | End]] should request a confirmation / authorization:
REASON: Unintentionally moves the current node to another location when pressing [CTRL + Home] to go to the top of the page.3 votes
I wanted to use markdown for the name and/or note of the task, but the suggested syntax does not produce expected results. I have tried using ~~some text~~ and `code`, but I just see what I have initially typed as result. I have checked the other markdown features and they didn't work for me either.1 vote
In some cases Checkvist does not allow to set due date to 'today' correctly.
Such situation was observed in PST timezone (LosAngeles), after 17:00 PST time (it is the next day in GMT timezone).0 votes
Currently on a desktop with FireFox or Chrome,
Pre image text
Post image text
The Post image text is rendered before the image. It is nice to be able to introduce the image, show the image and then comment on some aspect of the image.
With numbered paragraphs, a list item containing an image presents the para number on a separate line before the Pre Image text. This breaks up my nice layout1 vote
Migrating from Todoist I really miss repeating options like 'every first monday of the month', 'every last workday of the month', etc.1 vote
Use case: adding many code fragments to Checkvist. Prefixing each one with ``` is boring. Instead, Checkvist can ask to prefix the code when programming code is detected when a list item with code is pasted.1 vote
