Multiselect, merge and split successive tasks
Merge and Multiselect Problem:
Task x is Call Mike,
Task y is Call John and
Task z is Call Cathy.
What you want to do is merge these tasks. The way to do this should be to multi-select task x, y and z and press "mm" (for example) and tasks x, y and z are merged into one task ("Call Mike Call John Call Cathy")
Split Problem:
Task x is "Call Mike Call John Call Cathy." You want to break task x into three separate tasks. They way to do this should be to go to the end of "Call Mike" and press "ss" and the task is split into two. Then go to the end of "Call John" and press "ss" and, voila, you have three tasks.

Hi Dear Friends,
Recently when I try to paste multiple lines of text in order to make separate tasks in Checkvist, clicking ctrl-enter the usual window pops up but just for a moment, and then it disappears (at least from the window), but leaves the rest (the list) unselected so practically freezes. And if I reload the page, the new tasks are gone. -

Regarding merging tasks, I would like to merge task notes. Reasons: 1) merging task notes created by emails 2) Merging notes from informational tasks into a parent task.
It could work like this.
1) Select a parent task and a child task
2) Keyboard shortcut
Result: The notes of the parent task are appended by the title and notes of the child task. The child task is not deleted. Optionally, the notes could be chronologically merged. -

I need a division function seriously.
One step further I can not feel like using this application because of feelings like hell I taste when I write long sentences.
Currently, it seems to be the closest function to split at the time of copy and paste.
However, this function breaks sentences.
So, how about making it clear that you can specify where to start splitting in sentences?
(Eg [split], [subitem])
In this case it seems that it can be used as it is "copying once to clipboard after processing method" now.I am sorry about the amateur thought, but I hope it becomes helpful.
If there are some mistakes in English, I 'd like to apologize.

Right-click - is probably not Checkvist way :)

Or how about right-clicking where you want to split and select "Split" from the popup. If you don't select anything then your cursor is set where you clicked and you can edit.
Same for joining - select your three items, right click and select "Join".

Don, thanks for the suggestion, sounds interesting. We'll think about it when we'll start implementing this task.

I like this joining but even simpler. instead of requiring multi-select to join, no selection is required for join. when you press the join key combo, the row below the Selected row is appended to the end of the selected row.

Thanks a lot for the idea. Quite useful and reasonable, but we have to implement generic multiselection first: http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/14944-multiple-selection-to-delete-close-copy-paste-task
