  2. Hi not every body bother to go and get a Gravatar but it would be nice if you could set the first letter of screen name as a colorful avatar. like those on yahoo site comments. This way we don't have to wait for our teammates to get gravatar to become distinguishable without 'sd' shortcut

  3. Context: When lists grow, it may be useful to break them into multiple lists. The symmetric operation would be merging a list into another.

Breaking lists apart can be done with "move to another list". This operation could be extended with an option to insert a link to the destination in the source list.

Merging is available in Checkvist only "from the other side": One needs to go to the other list and then use mm or the "copy/move to" dialog.

I'd rather have an "inverse" of mm. Basically that's the "copy/move to" dialog as "copy/move from". It would insert…

  6. Currently you can filter/search tasks based on users whom these tasks assigned to them. But it's very handy for teams to filter out tasks based on which user created or modified them. This way you can see how much each user is contributing to the project.

  7. Merge and Multiselect Problem:
    Task x is Call Mike,
Task y is Call John and
    Task z is Call Cathy.

What you want to do is merge these tasks. The way to do this should be to multi-select task x, y and z and press "mm" (for example) and tasks x, y and z are merged into one task ("Call Mike Call John Call Cathy")

    Split Problem:
Task x is "Call Mike Call John Call Cathy." You want to break task x into three separate tasks. They way to do this should be to go to the end of "Call…

  8. Often several tasks are listed under a heading or subheading, but only one needs immediate action; it would be nice to just click a button (or type a two-letter code) to copy that task to the very top of a list and make it red; then when done, you can delete the task from the top of the list, but it will still stay in it's original place under the appropriate header.

  11. A lot of my time with CV is spent on moving incoming tasks to the right locations in the list hierarchy. Currently I am able to move a task to another list - so when i encounter a lowly task that needs grouping, I create a new list and then go back to the task and use "mm" to move it there. For example - a task "Kill duplicates on machine 2" is filed to a new "purge" list where I'm collecting cleanup tasks for a specific machine. But in a way this is wrong - such a project should…

  12. I'm trying to post a URL for a place in a network drive, beginning

    \campus\shared...

It's to help coordinate documents for a project. Checkvist doesn't like this and won't format it as a clickable link. It only appears to do this for web addresses. Therefore, I can only add the link as text, i.e. without a hyperlink. I came across a post which suggested this issue had been resolved (http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/3306341-recognise-more-url-schemes) but it doesn't work for me. When I enter the URL both as the text and the location, it does not get formatted as a hyperlink. Is there…

  13. The export feature is great, but the list name is always the top level (level 1). It would be great to have an option for specify the top level, as well as the current option for specifying how many levels there are overall (context; I'm using checkvist to create an outline for a presentation which I export to MMD and then to LaTeX)

  15. The spacebar should be reserved for striking-out (completing) nodes, and nothing else. At the moment, if you want to strike-out a whole tree, you have to tap the spacebar once, which 'expands' the node, tap another time to strikeout the whole tree, and then hit the left arrow to recollapse it. This would be wholly unnecessary if collapsing / expanding was reserved for the left/right arrow keys, and not the spacebar.

  16. It would be nice to see a progress bar or % done when you open up a list instead of only seeing the progress bar in the lists overview / checklists#main.

  17. One of the things I was looking for when I started using Checkvist is a simple but working progress bar. I think one of the few things lacking is a way to assign more or less weight to each task.
There are many ways to implement this, I am sure, but a simple one would be having 3 levels of priority:
    high(x2) - normal (x1) - low (x0.5)

If you have one High priority task and two Normal tasks and you complete the high priority one, then the task bar would move to 50% done, nor 33%.

  19. I use some of my lists to store templates (e.g. a Gemfile full of commonly used gems), etc, and would love to be able to copy this without having to double-click into the list item to do so.

  20. "Harvard Business School professor Teresa Amabile's research says keeping track of them will make you happier at work, more productive, and more motivated." (http://lifehacker.com/5958265).

It would be great to have a "Done" Tasks view so you could see at a glance the things you accomplished Today, Yesterday, Last Week, Earlier; kind of like the opposite of the "Due" Tasks view.

This new Done view would allow you at the end of the day to take a quick look at all the tasks you had completed during the day (or the previous day) aggregated across all of your task…
