View all tasks
I would love an option to view all tasks across all lists. This may not be a frequently-used feature for teams, but it would do me a lot of good. I have a list for each big project or event, but of course I am working on many projects at any given point in time. It would be helpful to get a view of everything I have going on. Thanks!

Checkbox does not work for Notes
Hi
The list styling tags do not work for "Notes" or atleast only partially.
You can get the bullets etc. in Notes, but no checkboxes. i..e [] does not work for Notes

allow combination of checkboxes and numbered lists, as well as mix and match within a list
Simply combine what you already have, so you can have both a checkbox and a numberlist as well as within a list have either/or (checkboxes on some items, numbers on others, nothing on some or combinations).

Add new collapse/expand short cut like in VIM
Would you please consider add short cut for collapse/expand like in VIM? So that I don't need to move my right arm every time I want to fold/unfold some nodes. To be more specific:
Current short cut:
- Collapse/Expand all:Ctrl+Shift+left
Ctrl+Shift+right
- Collapse/Expand the selected branch(recursively):Ctrl-Alt+,
Ctrl-Alt+.
- Collapse/Expand the selected node:left
right
Add new short cut:
- Collapse/Expand all:zM
zR
- Collapse/Expand the selected branch(recursively):zC
zO
- Collapse/Expand the selected node:zc

Deep copy lists
The deep copy could create a single new list that, rather than reference sub-lists, incorporated their contents directly into the new list's hierarchy.
This would support the creation of re-usable list templates that could be "instantiated". It would also enable a deep export (i.e. export the product of the deep copy)

Multiple Icons
I've been using the Font Awesome icon glyphs to great effect to differentiate list items as shown in the linked image.
This has made it really user friendly for my clients to view a list I've shared with them and see the status of items, identify questions I have for them, and indicate when they've answered them in the list. I love it, and it's impressed clients.
I'd like be able to include more than one icon on an item to expand on this (admittadly) improvised functionality, so I can indicate with just a single list item something that requires,…
1 voteA solution to this would be a CSS like this:
.tag.tag_question {visibility:hidden;position:absolute;}
.tag.tag_question:before
{content:“\f059”;font-family:FontAwesome;visibility:visible;}Thus each tag is converted to the icon with such a tag.
Would it work for you?

prio
Hi guys!
First of all, thank you for the Checkvist, i've been a fan for a year already.
There's a lot about the mobile version, so i will add another "need".Priority.
You see, as i print my daily tasks (and there are many within one day), the small and unnecessary ones like "finally order pizza" get above the real ones, like "compose the advertising budget".
it would be really sweet to mark important tasks with prio 1 or 2 so that they would be shown on the list above.
Thank you for considering this and have a nice day…

Sorting should ignore the separators (---)
It currently sends the separators at the bottom, I'm guessing because they don't have a color. I think sorting should ignore them and leave them in the position they were in before the sort.

Make due email properly display the items in italics/bold
Currently it simply displays what's in the item "as is" - e.g., the email shows * characters instead of making the word(s) within the item bold and/or italics.

Hide list items with a future due date
This would be a per-list toggle, hiding any items with a future due date (or perhaps those beyond a configurable n days in the future).
This would make it more feasible to scatter due dates throughout a list that is also used for open-ended items.
This is somewhat related to https://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/399064-postpone-task-hide-until-given-date. The per-list toggle idea is conceptually (and I would guess technically) simpler, and suits my use case, but I realise may not do everything people voting for the per-task-hiding are asking for.

Multiline edit has the instruction line obstructing the data
I use multiline data entry in a cell in Checkvist. I noticed recently that when I come back again to edit the cell, the instruction line (Enter to start a new line, Cmd-Enter to complete) obstructs the data. I cannot see one line of the text. Normally I would expect the instruction line to be at the bottom of the data, but it is in the middle.
I guess this is because the instruction line has been hardcoded to be at the bottom of the default cell height, but my cell has more data than that. Here's a link to…

Integrate with Google Drive
It'd be nice to be able to save lists as documents within Google Drive, with Checkvist showing up as 'handler' web app. I use a few web apps that provide this functionality.

Calendar/iCal integration for specific Lists/Branches/Nodes
I manage many different projects with Checkvist, most of which are sub-nodes/branches of a main list (to keep list management sane).
As such, a single global iCal feed of all tasks in all lists can easily have too much "noise" to be useful for visualizing due dates for a project on a calendar.
It would be fantastic if we could generate an iCal feed for a specific list or branch of a list. Then, only the sub-tasks of the selected list/node with due dates would be displayed in the calendar.
This would make Checkvist's calendar integration much more usable.

UI cusomization schemes
In color settings I should be able to select a color theme, like Zenburn, Solarized, Dark, where whole UI will be perfectly polished, to work with that theme.

More fluid synchronisation
At first it's nice being able to see which items have been updated on the server when creating or modifying them and seeing which have not yet been synced. But it also makes the app harder to use because I have to keep stopping thinking about what I'm doing and see where the system is at and what state it is in. I can't just ignore it because some things don't work properly until the sync has completed. For example, after creating a new item, no child items can be created on it until it turns black. I know it…

Add marker in Due List view for current task
I usually work in the Due List view showing tasks from multiple lists. I'd like to be able to mark my current task (ideally with a one-key command). This would help me keep focused as well as refocus when I have to skip to something else.
At this time, I apply use Priority 4 (key stroke: 4) to highlight the item, but I have to change the priority back or remove it before marking the item complete.
Here's a sample use case:
1. With Due List view showing, select the list item to make current
2. Press "c" or "cc"…1 vote -
Email in tasks to be children of a specific task
Right now we can e-mail tasks to specific lists, which is great.
The catch is that the tasks appear at the top of the given list, which is rarely where a new task belongs.
They often belong (for me at least) as child tasks of some other task (i.e. some kind of random to-do parent task).
Could the current e-mail address scheme be modified so that it would accept "post+(secrecyCode)+(listID)+(taskID)@checkvist.com"?
