  1. More fluid synchronisation

At first it's nice being able to see which items have been updated on the server when creating or modifying them and seeing which have not yet been synced. But it also makes the app harder to use because I have to keep stopping thinking about what I'm doing and see where the system is at and what state it is in. I can't just ignore it because some things don't work properly until the sync has completed. For example, after creating a new item, no child items can be created on it until it turns black. I know it…

    • YOU NEED AN UNDO BUTTON!!!!!

I was using this program for an outline for a research speech for school. I was almost finished when all the text was highlighted and something popped up and said "this task has been performed...press this button to undo". I pressed undo thinking it would unhighlight the text, but instead deleted it all!!! I frantically tried to get my speech back, but since there is not undo button, unlike other programs like Microsoft Word, I was unable to do anything. I spent a lot of time googling to find a solution to my problem, but found NOTHING. This research speech…

      • Progress Bar Setting: Specify which tasks to track (by tier/indentation level or priority)

There are main tasks need to completed by a certain date, they could be deliverables or milestones, whatever we define them to be.

For some subtasks (usually indented below a task) are added as ideas for what could help them accomplish the main task, but they are not always prerequisites. When completed they count on the Progress Tracker, but that can be fool's gold...

        • Add marker in Due List view for current task

I usually work in the Due List view showing tasks from multiple lists. I'd like to be able to mark my current task (ideally with a one-key command). This would help me keep focused as well as refocus when I have to skip to something else.

At this time, I apply use Priority 4 (key stroke: 4) to highlight the item, but I have to change the priority back or remove it before marking the item complete.

          Here's a sample use case:
          1. With Due List view showing, select the list item to make current
          2. Press "c" or "cc" …

          • deep link

            Deep Linking.
Feel like this has been suggested probably but couldn't find it. I share lists with lots of people and they are quite large. I would like to give people a link to a specific section of my lists. IE already open to that section. Is this possible already? Anyone else think that would be useful?

              • More convenient text content selection

Default selection of text content is convenient. However, there are some situations where is does not work I expect.

                1. If the content starts with a link `[...]`, default selection (= after pressing EE) misses the opening bracket.

                2. Default selection of a note does not select its content as it does for tasks.

                3. Pressing Strg+K without a selection should select the word if the cursor is placed inside the word (or at the word's boundary).

                • Speed-up navigation by selecting or *clearing* a tag by clicking on it

Right now you have to Esc twice or click the x to clear the search field
but it'd be so much faster to just click the same tag to clear it ..like in workflowy

And then, if that would also work in mobile.....the transition would be complete..
I find myself keep going back to wf just because the navigation is that much faster, on desktop and mobile, but this would totally fix that!

                  ThankYou!

                  • move item up and down regardless of hierarchy level (similar to drag and drop)

The current way to move items up and down (CTRL+up/down) is useful and should be kept like it is.

But sometimes I want to move an item exactly to a position that has a different indent level.
Let's say I have inserted a new item via email -> now it is on top of the list at level 1. I can't indent it to level 3 because there is no item above it and I even don't care if the correct indent level would be 3 or 4 or whatever.
The easiest way is to just drag-and-drop it to the…

                      Hello Chris,

In your case, I’d suggest using cut/paste; i.e for your screenshot, you’d press Ctrl+X on the top-most item, press key down (to select parent item), and press Ctrl+V – it would paste and put the item at the top level under the parent. Would it work for you?

                      Regards,

                    • Allow to remove tags with multiple selection

What can be a bit of a pain, though, is removing tags. It needs positioning the cursor in a large line of text. I would prefer pressing TT, move to the tag, and then press DELETE to remove it. (Everything but the last step is already implemented.) Other removals are already optimized (clear due, clear all tags).

                          • Sort one level deep

It would be really helpful to be able to sort one level deep instead. Most of the time, I see the need to sort the outermost list in a certain order (Alphabetical), but the sublist in another order (chronological or priority).

For example, I have a list of clients, and some standard tasks I always do for them in a certain order. I would like to type them quickly first and then use your nice sort function to get them into alphabetical order. However, it will also re-order my sublist of chronological task.

In fact, I do not see much…

                                • Find all lists with a partial tag search as WorkFlowy

I'm used to tag almost every list with a date in this form #d-2015-11-19, ect

It would be very useful to search for a partial tag like #d-2015-11 that returns all the lists created in November 2015.

Is it already possible? Am I missing something?

                                  • Show Items going across page

Rather than have items run down the page
                                    [ ] Item 1
                                    [ ] Item 2
                                    [ ] Item 3
                                    [ ] Item 4

I would like the ability to flag items so that they go across the page. This would save much screen space and be more compact.
                                    [ ] Item 1 [ ] Item 2 [ ] Item 3 [ ] Item 4

                                    • Sidebar for Tags and Due Options

Add a sidebar for filtering by Tags and Due Dates within the current list. It could look something like this:

                                      /=== Tags / Due Dates ==============
                                      |
                                      | Tags on this page:
                                      | [ ] #red x7
                                      | [ ] #yellow x3
                                      | [ ] #blue x1
                                      | [ ] #orange x4
                                      |
                                      | Due Date: [Dropdown Menu]
                                      | Completed Tasks: [Dropdown Menu]
                                      |
                                      \===================================

Initially, nothing would be selected and all tasks would be shown as usual. For each tag, you can select either a checkmark or an X. If you have checked one or more tags, then only…

                                        • Sticky Header/Toolbar

Header tools should stick (fixed position) to the top of the browser window so you don't have to keep scrolling up to flip between lists.
