Navigate over expanded list
For lists with multiple items at multiple levels of hierarchy, Checkvist does a good job of maintaining the expand/collapse state, but it remains difficult to just browse the items at a particular level. I would suggest alt+{down,up,j,k} to move to the next/previous task at the same level as the current task.

support verbose email address when sharing
When sharing, you're prompted to enter an email address. In this sort of dialog I often fire up email, type the person, then copy and paste them into the dialog. But this ends up with an email address in the format:
Fred Bloggs fred@bloggs.com
You should support pasting of email addresses like this. Google docs does :-)1 vote -
minimalist UI
I often like to work with the relevant checklist open in a browser, but it takes up too much space. It would be handy if you could switch to a minimalist UI, looking something like the mobile UI but with all the interaction of the full web UI. This would combine nicely with my "Tear-off a list" suggestion and Yasuro's "Zoom and View features" suggestion.

Star outlines (and sort by Star)
I suggest the ability to star outlines in the outline list (and then sort by star) so that I can sort the outlines that I am currently working on (those starred) at the top of the list. Of course this could also be handled by grouping by outline tags.

Enable notes to be able to be converted to tasks and vice versa
As seems to be the case with many Checkvist users, I use it as an outliner and task manager all intermixed, and sometimes it's confusing. If the notes functionality were a little more integrated, I think this would help a lot. One simple solution in this direction would be to enable the easy conversion of notes to tasks and vice versa.
Perhaps this could be done with a double tab or something like that, ie tab once, it's a sub-task. tab again, it's a note(?). Just a thought...

perfect tool for those with disabilities?
it strikes me that the emphasis in Checkvist of keyboard shortcuts makes it well suited to persons with disabilities. Have you addressed this market directly?
(I am sure that there is a work around for dual key entry such as cntrl-up/down)

summary report for List
I would like to have a simple summary report of a given list (or better yet, current view) that totals stories, tasks, open/complete and tags used.

consider adding regex searches for tag filtering
Searching for tags like 11-Q? or work-* would be nice and quite a bit of flexibility.

Sorting by priority on "All list" screen
I love that you can remove the Parent and just see tasks by using "priority: any" in search all lists. What would be very helpful would be to then sort by priority.

Tear-off a list
Ability to popup a window which is a minimised UI containing not much more than the list, so you can keep it onscreen. It wouldn't have to be a top-level list, you could tear off at any item.

provide a shortcut to paste as sub-task
Default Ctrl+V pastes as a peer, perhaps Ctrl+Shift+V to paste as a subordinate.

enhance merge function of tags
Merging of tags appears not to be functioning well ('nothing found'-message)

Non-action items
I'm "invalidating" some items so I can use them as notes or non-actionable information. However, they'll get hidden when I hide completed tasks, and pushed to the bottom if I ask for completed tasks to be moved down.
Is there any chance we could mark items as "non-actionable", which would mean they don't affect the %complete, and aren't affected by sorting based on complete/non-complete?
Thanks!

Certain keyboard shortcuts work only for US keyboard
The shortcuts '?' and '/' don't work on my Danish keyboard where I type shift-plus (to the right of the 0-key) and shirt-7, respectively to get them. when I switch to US-keyboard, they work as expected

Allow due dates for tasks to appear next to the project when project tree is collapsed
So that, with all projects collapsed to top level, I could see the closest due date of a task for each project.
3 votesIf you need due information, you can use filtering. Type ‘/’ and then due: + autocompletion.
Wouldn’t it be sufficient?
