Archive completed tasks, not lists only
You can run a filter like
changed:week in:closed
Is it what you seek?

My favorite approach to archived tasks is to just create a task called "v__Q# Archived Tasks__v" at the top of my list, and I just move my completed tasks under this task. It's a simple way to create a due tasks view that allows me to see chronological completion, and it helps keep my list looking clean for the tasks that are still outstanding.

Yes I can run the filter "in:closed" and show all completed tasks, but how to then take that filtered list and copy or move those items to a new list?

I'm really surprised this doesn't have more votes. When you complete too many items on a checklist - particularly when they're sub-nested - I don't want to see those tomorrow, but I also do *NOT* want to delete them! They're useful to see.
It would be great to have an "archive completed tasks within this list" option.
And if the list doesn't appear in archived lists, it creates the list name in the archived list and adds the completed tasks inline, perhaps with "ghosted" entries of their parent containers.

I'm usually hiding completed tasks, to have the list as clean as possible, but sometimes there is need to quickly check for completed and then hide them back. But after a while, your list of tasks completed gets too long and you can't quickly check for recent completed only, as the whole list gets too cluttered... The ability to archive all the tasks completed to a dedicated list, f.e. "Archive", where you can go anytime to check for them and their details would help a lot. Such an "Archive" list would be good to exist by default. Thanks.
