import from Google Docs or Word outline, or html
I've created outlines in Google Docs, which exports HTML. But copy & pasting from Google Docs, or HTML, does not maintain the list hierarchy. I could write a script to import HTML and maintain the <li> hierarchy, but seems to me checkvist should have this functionality built in.

increase visibility of nested tasks indicator
The object indicating a task has subtasks is light enough to be effectively invisible in some viewing situations. I imagine I am particularly having a hard time because my eyeglass prescription is out of date, and I imagine others with less than perfect vision or degrading eyesight would benefit from increased contrast between the indicator and the background.

Postpone Task: Hide until given date
Put a task off until later. Either indefinitely, or have it appear again at a given date. For instance, if I need to have my car inspected, I can't do that until it is due for inspection next year. So if I create the task now, it should be either hidden, or placed in a "scheduled for later" folder until I can act on it. (This request will depend on due dates being implemented first.)

3 improvements for business usage
First of all great product. Anyways there are 3 things that keeps me away from implementing checkvist to my entire organization:
1) i'am not able to assign a task to a member of my team without sharing with that person a whole list. This is not good for me because i have lists which contain tasks for multiple persons and i dont want everybody to see everybody's tasks but only the tasks that i have assigned to them
2)i'am not able to see a "task updated icon" for the tasks that have been modified by the people i have assigned…1 voteThanks a lot for the thoughtful suggestion, we’ll give a detailed answer a bit later.

Bookmarklet - debug searching in list names (tags and special chars in name)
Using bookmarklet, there are two situations, which differ from full blown Checkvist.
searching for names like "@computer" does not offer any item, if I type "comp". In full version it finds the @computer list name immediately.
Having multiple lists with the same name and different list tab, bookmarklet ignores such an item, which is finally not added at all.
I have lists like "Peter #projects" and "Peter #agenda".

Half opacity in images in closed tasks
I'm working on a system to manage objects that are identified by their pictures. When I press space nothing changes visually.
I can of course hide finished tasks. But in case I'd like to keep them visible, there's nothing showing they're closed if they have no text.

Bookmarklet: add way to change purpose of selected text
I suggest that the text on the bookmarklet:
"Selected text is added as a note"
becomes:
"Selected text is added as a note. Make it the task(s)"
Upon clicking that link, the What is replaced with the content of Note and the Note field is emptied.
The text becomes
"Selected text is added as a note. Make it the task(s) [undo]"

bug: copy and paste confuses nested task reordering
The copy and paste functionality confuses the task groupings for reordering. Steps to reproduce:
- Create nested tasks:
A task
A nested task
Another nested task- Copy and paste one of the sub-tasks
A task
A nested task
A nested task
Another nested task- Try to reorder any of the subtasks and the entire set of tasks moves as one unit. I cannot reorder the tasks into this arrangement:
A task
A nested task
Another nested task
A nested taskThe "A task" item and everything under it moves as a single unit whenever I press shift, click, and drag any…

The workaround for the bug is to use Ctrl+up/down keyboard shortcut to move tasks up/down (instead of drag-n-drop) -
Option to make hyperlinks default to _blank target
I'd love it if you added a customisation option that lets me check "on" that any hyperlink I've entered, when I click it, it will open in a new tab. It would save me a step. Can't tell you how many times I click on a link instead of right-clicking and then have to go back, etc.

roll up (sum or any other function)
The parent can be a sum (or any other function) of values of the children. This can be values after specific tags. For example I can sum up my expenses in a month or hours spend on subtasks , ...

offer way to hook in google analytics
I'd love to see how often some of my public checkvists are viewed. Consider providing an interface to add javascript required for google analytics to monitor a list.

top-level "last updated" date not updating
I think I have found a bug. In many cases, the "last updated" field in top-level tasks does not update when a lower-level task is added or modified. This means that in order to see which top-level tasks have been updated, a user must expand each one and check the "last updated" dates for each task. It seems that the correct functionality should be that when any lower level task is updated, the top-level task should update its "last updated" date to the present date.
