perfect tool for those with disabilities?
it strikes me that the emphasis in Checkvist of keyboard shortcuts makes it well suited to persons with disabilities. Have you addressed this market directly?
(I am sure that there is a work around for dual key entry such as cntrl-up/down)

support verbose email address when sharing
When sharing, you're prompted to enter an email address. In this sort of dialog I often fire up email, type the person, then copy and paste them into the dialog. But this ends up with an email address in the format:
Fred Bloggs fred@bloggs.com
You should support pasting of email addresses like this. Google docs does :-)1 vote -
minimalist UI
I often like to work with the relevant checklist open in a browser, but it takes up too much space. It would be handy if you could switch to a minimalist UI, looking something like the mobile UI but with all the interaction of the full web UI. This would combine nicely with my "Tear-off a list" suggestion and Yasuro's "Zoom and View features" suggestion.

provide a shortcut to paste as sub-task
Default Ctrl+V pastes as a peer, perhaps Ctrl+Shift+V to paste as a subordinate.

Enable notes to be able to be converted to tasks and vice versa
As seems to be the case with many Checkvist users, I use it as an outliner and task manager all intermixed, and sometimes it's confusing. If the notes functionality were a little more integrated, I think this would help a lot. One simple solution in this direction would be to enable the easy conversion of notes to tasks and vice versa.
Perhaps this could be done with a double tab or something like that, ie tab once, it's a sub-task. tab again, it's a note(?). Just a thought...

Allow to switch checklist mode into a Gantt mode
I love checkvist and would like to use it like a gantt projet, I would like a timeline (it is a bit like an other idea of this forum about the deadline) for each list / sublist and associate ressources (not only a contact) to a list (task).
There are some good idea there: http://gantter.com
It could be interesting to switch between the current view of the like and a new mode "Gantt" oriented where lists become tasks and ressources become visibles.

this could be a killer "agile" project mgmt tool. user stories & tasks are lists; just need logic.
this could be the base of a killer "agile" or scrum project mgmt tool. most of these are bloated, slow, and have mouse-based UI. but user stories & tasks are just hierarchical lists. you'd just need logic for managing user stories independently of tasks, assigning tasks, moving their status along, iterations, and reporting.

enable hyperlinks in mobile UI
I understand the intent is to have a check list and not a list of bookmarks.
However, the non-mobile Checkvist app has so many hyperlink options that many of my tasks are links to gmail, documents, or crosslinks to other lists.
Yet, when I view the task in the mobile version, I can't actually go to the linked document.
Perhaps adding a link icon after each item would be an option? I think this would allow you to keep the current mobile functionality and just add an option to follow the link (instead of editing the task).

Save multiple revision
To make sure that we don't accidentally destroy our precious notes or that those we share with sabotage them, support a revision history per note as Google Docs does.
124 votesReally good and useful request.
Regarding accidental data loss: Checkvist Pro account gives you up to 10 daily backups of all your lists. Not the same, but may help in some cases.

Expand Checkvist API (for example put tags in task description)
The available API is great, but things are missing, like the ability to work with tags !
I have a few ideas of additionnal clients / tools, but i would need a full access to the data stored in each task and would be to create a task with all available informations, including tags.

Allow global styling by the user, font family, font size, line density, colors
Allow me to set the styling for an outline. Looks like there are fairly limited elements -- three fonts, line spacing at perhaps three levels, and indent spacing(s). Might also allow the expand/contract symbol to vary.
I consider this quite important, as I'd like styling to squeeze more on a page, with tighter spacing and smaller fonts. Web 2.0 sort of styling is nice for presentation, but not so practical for working documents.
34 votesBy the moment, you can modify Checkvist presentation in the PRO plan. You can alter some colors, and provide advanced custom CSS styles which allow to change the font size. But this requires hard CSS coding. We need to provide simple way to specify different styles for a list.
The sample CSS for reducing font size in the list is:
ul.topLevel li { font-size: 12px;}
ul.topLevel ul li, ul.topLevel ul li.task { font-size: 10px;}Some more customisation samples can be seen in this list: https://checkvist.com/checklists/486715

Allow export to Mediawiki format
It would be nice to allow exporting to mediawiki format, the most popular wiki on the planet. Thanks!
