  1. Is it possible to add a feature to use an offset for the natural language due dates? Chaining multiple offsets together would allow it to be as general as possible.

For example, I could create a project template that I import:
"Planning Meeting ^today+3d" [in 3 days]
"Email planning meeting minutes ^today+3d+1w" [1 week from 3 days from now]
"Task ^Next Friday+2w" [Two weeks from next Friday]
"Task ^Today-3d+1y" [A year from 3 days ago]

  2. If you regret an undo it's nice to have a redo. Usually it's ctrl/cmd+shift+z and in other services it's ctrl/cmd+y (I prefer the first one, as it doesn't require two hands or strained fingers)

This is related, but not necessarily linked to the feature suggest for multiple undo's:

  3. If you're working on a big outline with lots of deeply embedded item tags, it'd be really useful to be able to see all those tags in a list (e.g. as part of the 'list information' pop-up accessed via the 'i' button) or a tag cloud.

Clicking on a tag should then filter the outline accordingly.

You can 'sort of' do this by just typing '#' into the filter field, but that immediately lists all tags used throughout your account, whereas what you want is tags used only in the current outline.

  5. I use CheckVist primarly as a notetaking/knowledge base/snippet keeper. Less so than for to-do lists.
I have long been frustrated (minimally as its not a HUGE issue) by the lack of 'fingers-at-home-key-centric ability to open an entry to see the note it contains.
'nn' use demands that you follow it up with 'Esc' and you have to remove your hands from the home settings to use the -> cursor key... which also seems like a bit of a cheap cop-out if I'm being honest.

Wondering if there is the possibility to include additional ways to create keyboard shortcuts. I mean…

  6. How hard (and bothersome) when it says the task is overdue while I want to form creation date of each entry. I try hard to gag every entry with maroon tag that says boldly, "this is overdue" na, na, na.

I am on writing project, and in entry (first column I exported from OmniOutliner), I managed to imported OPML from my Mac Mini to XP. From OmniOutliner (for Mac only) I entered the title of the story I named back in 2003, but then I see almost all entries are tagged as overdue, which in fact it is just "creation…

  7. When "Close parent task when the last child is closed" is disabled in the General Settings on the main website,I can't close the parent task on mobile website after the last child is closed. The "close" button is not displayed when I edit the parent task.

  8. Right now the tag map shows a count of open AND closed tasks (in parenthasis). In it's current state, I don't really see much use in this information; seems it would be MUCH more valuable if the count was only for OPEN tasks. Then it would be a gauge of how much of a workload we have in each area (or tag).

I feel this OPEN count should be the default view, and the OPEN+CLOSED view could be an option.

    Thanks for a great tool!

  9. Currently, I cannot tag a list that is shared with me as read-only even with a private tag. Since private tags are used to manage lists per-user, it should be made possible.

  10. The tooltips that display the location of the line in the outline hierarchy if you hover over a line item are highly distracting to me and cover what I am trying to read.

Please add an option to the Settings to turn off this tooltip feature.

  12. Let's not move the current position up when I press the down button several times.
I press the down button several time when I want to reach the bottom line. But the program flings me to the top that is not expected.

  16. Hi all,

i suggest a team hierarchy with areas of responsibilities, each task will be marked with area of responsibility (marketing, sales, support, ...), so that it's clear which person is responsible for the whole area (not just a specific task)

  17. I like to have the ability to review any items that have been added or edited recently. If I export the list this is easy to do for everything except the notes. Please add the date stamp to the notes as well.

  18. some documents need to be simple outlines -- not checklists -- It would be good to be able to turn off checklist features or create separate kinds of documents (outline or checklist outline)

  19. Hi,

It would be great to sync Checkvist with ToDos from iCal. That way the users would have one online and one offline ToDo list and no new application has to be developed (at least not for the Mac)

    Cheers,

    Faz

  20. Thinking again in GTD terms ... some lists are lists of tasks, while others are lists of shopping items, items to take on a trip, etc.

I'm suggesting the ability to make a list of a certain type (hm, maybe list of items vs. list of tasks), so that at least visually at the main interface, you don't have a "% completed bar" simply for items that are not tasks. (i.e. a list such as @Shopping, @Grocery, etc.) .

The main interface right now assumes that every list you are creating is a list of tasks, which seems a little…
