Thanks for the suggestion. Deleting items on mobile does not have undo, that's why it is a bit verbose, to avoid data loss.

Makes sense. But I think we'll defer this feature a bit, because I'm not quite sure how the final layout of the app will look like, and CSS customization is not that highly requested feature yet.

But thanks a lot for the request :)

I don't think we'll provide such customizations on mobile as well, at least this was not in our close plans. Also, on mobile there is a different view, with different CSS.

What kind of customisations you wanted to use there?

    Hi Jordan,

If you make a global search for in:closed, the results will be grouped by list, but they will be sorted according to the last modification date. You can see that using 'sd' keyboard shortcut on this page.

Also, you can use changed: today or changed: week syntax to limit search results, if needed.

    Would it help?

    Hello Charles,

I'm afraid, it is not possible at the moment.

A corresponding request in this uservoice is https://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/2472354-import-from-google-docs-or-word-outline-or-html, please vote for it, I hope we'll find resources to implement it.

I suppose you did not mean to put your e-mail as a title of this request - shall I remove it?

    Thanks!

    Hello Henrique,

Checkvist always had HTML parsing in some form enabled. I understand that you may want to make it a simple notebook without any niceties, but so far I'm not sure this is the direction we'd like to move the tool into.

Could you probably share your suggestion in our forum and see if there are supporters of this idea? https://discuss.checkvist.com/

    Thanks,

    Hello,

iframe support brings some security issues, and we probably not ready to address them soon. So probably iframe won't be supported, consider using links to the corresponding documents.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the suggestion.

As a workaround, you can consider using `changed: last month`, `changed: last week` or `changed: 4days` smart syntax to find related tasks.

Is it OK if I merge this request to https://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/14940-recent-activity-page?

    Thanks!

I'm sorry, we don't have such a device :( Possibly, the fix requires a true android app.

Or you can try using Google Chrome, if it is available for your device.

@Mihail thanks for your comment, we'd love to implement this, but it is not easy to do correctly, given that we have both in-place filter and global search. I hope we'll find some time for this in this year.

    From the feedback:

One of my frustrations is managing stagnated/old tasks, I'd love a sort by modification date but for now "sd" (show detail) and searching for date parts works for me

I'd also like to see these features at some point:
Filtering/search logic, filter/search filter by no color (color: 0), speeding up or removing delay for search index update, search by custom date range,
searching by specific projects (or project tag?), global search by part words

    Hello Christina,

Thanks for the comment. Just in case, at the moment you can use due:now for global search with further filtering (it includes overdue, today, asap tasks).

    Hello,

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately, we don't plan to separate priorities and colors in the nearest future.
What is closer to the implementation is a way to tune colors of different priorities. Also, using advanced CSS, it is probably possible to add priority numbers near task names.

As for setting 'today' tasks, I suggest you to use built-in "due date" feature, so you can mark your today's tasks with 'td' keyboard shortcut or use 'dd' to set a more specific due date.

    Hope this helps,

    Really good and useful request.

Regarding accidental data loss: Checkvist Pro account gives you up to 10 daily backups of all your lists. Not the same, but may help in some cases.

    Hello Shankha Das,

Checkvist doesn't remove list items immediately, they can be restored in a case of accidental deletion (but currently only we can do it, so you should write e-mail about this).

Also, Checkvist provides backup, manual for free version and automatic in Checkvist PRO plan.

All of this won't substitute real multiple revision data storage, but it is something to avoid typical data loss (data removal).

Also, we plan to provide a 'trash bin' - so removed items could be restored within a day or so after removal. Please vote/watch this request: http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/5312958-a-trash-bin-to-store-deleted-items-temporarily

    Thanks,

Olli, thanks for the suggestion, but the main difficulty here is a to create a living infrastructure for task history (this is a lot of work).
When to create list snapshots is a secondary question, you approach could work as well.

    Hello Dave,

But in which scenario this numbering is more practical than adding numbering to a specific branch with [1] smart syntax? I really don't get it :(

    Thanks,

    Hello Dave,

It took time for me to get what you're asking for, sorry.
Do I understand correctly, that this second option would show numbering only for items which don't have children?

But how would it work if I have a tree structure like:

    A
    B
    - B1
    - B2
    - - B21
    C

If I enable "local mode numbering", which items should have which numbers?

    Thanks,

We have a small enhancement which allows to set due time for Google Calendar integration:

If text of the due task contains something like "at 10:00", this time should be used for google calendar integration task.

    Maybe this will be useful.

I'm sorry, but so far it is not planned and hardly will be. You can set time information in text of the item, if you wish.

Peter, honestly, I don't think Checkvist will ever have "due time" functionality. We never envisioned it as a detailed day planning tool.

More likely, we'll try to add some integration with tools like Google Calendar, but not sure about time granularity

    An alternative implementation approach:

I would rather prefer something like this: select the node(s) to move (The move command may be provided on the bottom actionbar, or may be a long touch should do. Your call) , then scroll to a node below which you want your selected nodes, and then tap on that node.

This approach enables moving multiple nodes at a time, when and if such an extension is desired. Further, you may be even able to move the node to another list, though I agree that would require extra architecture.

Mark, thanks a lot for the suggestion.

On the other hand, if we provide grab-bars, they will always occupy the place on the screen, even when moving items is not planned. What do you think?

Non-adequate move is obviously a bug, probably we have to tune timeouts in this place. Thanks for pointing out!
