Use grab-bars at right to move items; use long press to open a context menu.
Currently, thumbing up and down through my list always selects a new item, and often moves it inadvertently. Long press to open a context menu will allow for more menu options without cluttering the interface.

My solution would be to expose indent, out-dent, move up and move down functions in the ui. My problem on mobile is that I can't "grab" and move a node that's a long hyperlink.

Hello John, 'mm' is a different feature than this one. Maybe, create another issue?

Being able to quickly and easily move a task from List "A" to List "B" on the mobile version would make my world complete. "mm" is the single feature I use the most by far on my laptop.

Hello,
We've recently released a new version of m.checkvist.com where we've removed some glitches regarding accidental moves in the list. Could you please take a look and add a comment if the behaviour is improved or not for you?
The related blog post is: http://blog.checkvist.com/post/170078871338/201801-welcome-the-first-update
Thanks!

An alternative implementation approach:
I would rather prefer something like this: select the node(s) to move (The move command may be provided on the bottom actionbar, or may be a long touch should do. Your call) , then scroll to a node below which you want your selected nodes, and then tap on that node.
This approach enables moving multiple nodes at a time, when and if such an extension is desired. Further, you may be even able to move the node to another list, though I agree that would require extra architecture.

Firefox: DnD works together with scrolling - totally unusable

The problem with move via DnD also mentioned here: https://plus.google.com/+KirillMaximov/posts/3TRPWo2JtzD

Hi Per Enochsson,
Thanks, please let us know if there are still problems.

Hi Kirill. To be honest I haven't had the problem for a some time. Tried to stay away from the mobile version and when I use it I have been very careful. I will use it a little more careless and see if the problem is still there.
Keep up the good work -

@Marica Odagaki Could you please make it a separate request? It's absolutely valid and justified, but we'll implement it regardless the 'grab bars' :)

I'd love to be able to set priority / color through the mobile interface.

Thanks for the comment, Per Enochsson! May I ask you which mobile device do you use? Honestly, I haven't met a problem with accidental item moving for a while - we made some timing tweaks there.

I don't know if grab bar is thhe way to go but I gave this post 3 wotes since it points out the problem of accidentally mowing items. It is keeping me from using the mobile version.

Thanks for the comment, Kirill. My absolute favorite mobile list app is GoTasks (gotasksapp.com). The interface is exceptional (but it lacks features I love about Checkvist). I rearrange lists a lot as I think about priority, so it's great to have grab bars immediately available. I never even thought about the grab bars taking up space, but I see your point. GoTasks allows me to adjust font size, so I can see what I need to.
Thanks for considering. I love Checkvist desktop and look forward to improvements in the mobile version. -
Mark, thanks a lot for the suggestion.
On the other hand, if we provide grab-bars, they will always occupy the place on the screen, even when moving items is not planned. What do you think?
Non-adequate move is obviously a bug, probably we have to tune timeouts in this place. Thanks for pointing out!
