Export to email function
We can export our lists to html, cvs, etc, but I think it would be valuable to send a list to an email address as well.

Place moved tasks at the end of the destination list
When items are moved from one list to another, they are placed at the beginning of the list. I expected them to be placed at the end. Could that be an option or the default behavior?

consider adding regex searches for tag filtering
Searching for tags like 11-Q? or work-* would be nice and quite a bit of flexibility.

Color Customization Fixes
A few changes that may improve the color customization options:
Make the notes background the same as the overall background (can add a border to separate) This way, if you have white on black, you can more easily read the notes
Make the Navigation and Title color apply to List names in Due List View
I would recommend adding more color options, but I feel that may go against keeping everything simple.5 votes -
use contentEditable instead of a textarea for editing things
The fact that checkvist uses textareas for editing items inevitably leads to the layout getting messed up and ugly transitions between starting to edit and editing and between finishing editing and being able to continue usage. Please use contentEditable fields instead, so that browsing and editing become seamless. http://html5demos.com/contenteditable

Email in tasks to be children of a specific task
Right now we can e-mail tasks to specific lists, which is great.
The catch is that the tasks appear at the top of the given list, which is rarely where a new task belongs.
They often belong (for me at least) as child tasks of some other task (i.e. some kind of random to-do parent task).
Could the current e-mail address scheme be modified so that it would accept "post+(secrecyCode)+(listID)+(taskID)@checkvist.com"?

Embed external image from cloud drive (e.g. Google Drive) and specify size
Our problem is that 500MB is way too little for our needs. We would like to embed unlimited images within our items. Ideally, it would be great to be able to quickly embed external images directly from Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, or any URL for that matter. One necessary feature for this to work would be the option to quickly specify size of the embedded image (and have Checkvist remember the last size you entered).
Currently, we are hacking size-specified images into items like this:
<img src="https:url" width="300" height="400" />
However, that is a tedious way to do it. It…

Consider list style (numbering, bullets, checkboxes) when exporting to Markdown
Also relates to including numbering when exporting to text:

Allow search of all tagged items
Please consider a "tag:any" search option so that users can search for any tagged item in a list. One of the use cases for this feature request is for list items that move between states by way of tags, i.e. initial state may be #new and then the item is re-tagged as #processing, or another example would be who the item was parked with like #steeringcommittee or #dev or #testing or #UAT.
Viewing all tagged items in one list would allow users to re-tag the state of multiple items without the need to return to the tag list over and…

Allow local file link
I have some documents in local computer which is related to some lists. So I hope I could have an easy way to put them together.
I tried to input local file link like "file://c:|/documents/test.doc", but failed. I tried href tag but failed again.
So, now I can only leave the text "file://..." there.
Is it possible that you convert the local links as a link as well? You can disable executable extensions, thus no security problems.
This will be very helpful to me.
Thanks!

Move notes up and down within task
I like to arrange the notes I created for a task.
I want to move notes up and down like it is possible with tasks.4 votesProbably, you should use subtasks instead of notes if you want to move them?

View sub-items/sub-tasks and add tasks on Due/Search pages
Workaround is to use 'gg' but it changes context

show top three open tasks underneath each checklist in checklist overview
It would be helpful if I could have an overview of what's at the top of each checklist without having to open each one of them. The checklist overview page would have enough room for this. You could also make this optional and preferably you could let the user decide on how many items to show for each list. For nested tasks, I would suggest to count only the last children, so if you have items 1., 1.1 and 1.1.1, only 1.1.1 would be considered for display, not all three. Again, this could be an option.

Create list API
It would be really useful to have an API that would allow us to create a new List based on a List Template (or another list). Similar to the "copy list" option currently available in the interface but via an API (maybe a simple html call), where you can specify the source List template, the name of the new list, and maybe even with who you want to share the list.

Add another category for due dates - "someday".
Like ASAP but the items appear BELOW dated tasks.
