  1. Since you've made it really simple to publish lists with read-only access, it would be double-nice to be able to select some tasks and hide them from public view. Perhaps, using a color-code to indicate which are not public to those with read-only access.

  3. Create a macro language that could automate a set of keystrokes "on open" or at other times. (For example, an "on open" macro could cause the Checkvist to always start out collapsed.)

  4. Hello Checkvist,
We recently spoke about possibly adding a new set of colors for users to color code their lists http://bit.ly/cdjMuC, however I have a better idea. Since there is no easy way to move the keyboard shortcuts without collapsing them, I have created a set of custom wallpapers for users to have on their desktop, which allows them to simultaneously view their lists and the keyboard shortcuts.
An interesting thing that I found out, is in Windows 7, if you use the backgrounds I have provided, it gives your taskbar a glowing effect for each icon. Keep in…

  7. Akin to the commenting system in Google Docs, it would be nice to be able to have comments and discussions around the items in a list to enable more interactivity between users in a shared document.

  12. The wordpress.com doesn't allow to embed with iframe. But some trusted webservices can embed their content with a special shortcode.
Please try to negotiate with wordpress.com to do this shortcode option for checkvist, also!

  13. It would be nice to see a progress bar or % done when you open up a list instead of only seeing the progress bar in the lists overview / checklists#main.

  14. Tags can be added with or without caps... it's awful when items tagged as #important get lost because they were inadvertently tagged as #Important

  16. Hi

The list styling tags do not work for "Notes" or atleast only partially.

You can get the bullets etc. in Notes, but no checkboxes. i..e [] does not work for Notes

  17. Once a task reaches its due date, it should have an option to expire after a while. For example, I set the due date for "Work out" to today, but I missed it. If I set it to expire, then it should go off the lists automatically the next day. Very useful for repeating tasks like chores and work outs

  18. It seems for me natural to edit actual selected item, by pressing enter key when it is highlighted.
At the moment it creates new item below which makes me clicking all the time enter -> escape -> ee to edit item.

And I know it is me, not the checkvist, but maybe I'm not alone? :>

  19. When not editing an item, Alt+Enter adds a new item above the current one. Pressing Enter while editing a new item saves the item and adds a new item below. I'd like to have a keyboard shortcut for saving a new item and adding another above.

Use case: I'm using a list for keeping track of to-dos, which is sorted from newest-to-oldest. It's useful to have this shortcut when adding multiple items in succession.

  20. Imagine this.

You conscientiously tag your Checkvist tasks. You use a lot of tags.

You find the tasks you want to work on by searching by tag.

You now want to focus on JUST the tasks (forget the tags), wouldn't it be great to be able to toggle tag visibility?

We can already toggle detail and context in various bits of the UI, how hard can it be ? :)
