Expiry for overdue tasks
Once a task reaches its due date, it should have an option to expire after a while. For example, I set the due date for "Work out" to today, but I missed it. If I set it to expire, then it should go off the lists automatically the next day. Very useful for repeating tasks like chores and work outs

Yes, that's totally fair and understandable :) Regarding the programming of this feature, would it reduce the workload if you could piggy back the existing logic that hides repeating tasks when they are done, till the next cycle, i.e. the setting "Generate x days before next due date". Essentially just adding an "Expiry" check box could do the trick. If the expiry check box is checked, then the task acts the same way as the task itself was checked off. Expiry could just be as simple as 11:59pm same day. Just some thoughts :)

Hi,
We don't use Uservoice statuses actively. This particular feature is not trivial to implement, so we'd want to see some support from other users as well. We should very carefully choose which task to do.
Hope you understand :)

Any chance of moving this to Planned? :)

Ya, that would be perfect, this is ideal for repeating tasks. Thank you for considering it!

Hello,
Thanks for the suggestion. It makes sense, and strange that it was not requested before.
At the moment such feature can be implemented only for repeating tasks, because only for them we have an interface where such status can be edited.
Thanks again,
