How can we improve Checkvist?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Next Business Day (NB) Shortcut Key

    On Fridays (like today) sometimes I need to roll tasks to the next business day (Monday). Right now, I have to press DD, and select Monday with my mouse. It would be awesome to have a new Shortcut Key (NB) for the Next Business Day, that would automatically assign the task to the next business day. So on Friday's it would assign to Monday, or on Monday's it would assign to Tuesday (which I understand is the same as using (TM) for tomorrow).

  2. mm put it as last item

    Now, when I move a line with 'mm' it moves to the top of that list. I want to move it to the bottom of the list.

  3. Add "Due" tasks list in LL pop-up

    The LL pop-up window is great to jump between lists, but there is one list that I use all the time that isn't shown in the pop-up, the "Due" tasks list. I would love to be able to simply type LLDUE{Enter} and have it jump straight to the Due tasks list: http://checkvist.com/checklists#due

  4. Land focus on the link subject instead of the whole link while using bookmarklet

  8. Bug: incomplete UNDO regarding due date change

    • Enter task
    • Add due date Dec 1, 2015
    • Add repeat for every year (only change "how often" to "yearly")
    • Check: start date of repeat is Dec 1, 2015
    • Change due date to today ('td') (start date of repeating due is set to today)
    • Undo
    • in the repeating due data, the start date is not reverted to Dec 1, 2015

    gg/GG should work with multi-select and open all the links. In new tabs, of course

  12. Add a real list modification timestamp which updates only when list content updates

    The current timestamp, shown on the list index page, updates even when sharing information for the list changes, which is unexpected.

  13. Reduce or remove delay for global search reindexing

    Currently Checkvist needs ~10 minutes delay to reindex latest changes before global search starts working. It is rather inconvenient.

  14. Make due email properly display the items in italics/bold

    Currently it simply displays what's in the item "as is" - e.g., the email shows * characters instead of making the word(s) within the item bold and/or italics.

  15. Compatibility mode for OPML export

    OPML export should include tags,due,assignee to exported text.

    Currently, if list item has tags/due/assignee, this information is not visible after OPML export to non-Checkvist tools, because this information is encoded to own Checkvist attributes in OPML.

  16. attach image directly with ctrl-v

    The gmail / trello / etc has a feature that: I can "copy image" from other website, then go to gmail/trello and "ctrl-v" and the image will be saved automatically.

  18. Easy bookmarking to list during web browsing

    Although Checkvist Bookmarklet does provide the basic feature, it lacks polish. When I want to save a bookmark, I want saving it for later to be as friction-free as the Pocket Chrome extension.

    With Pocket, I click the Pocket logo (effectively a button) and it saves the url to Pocket. One click and done. No thought required. A popup then appears allowing me to add tags, if I want.

    With the Checkvist Bookmarklet, I see the icon in a similar spot (to the right of my address bar), however, clicking it does not save the current page's url to Checkvist.…

    Links on lists on Due page should provide filter related to the current section, like
    due: today. Currently, it is always due:any.

    1. hide header - that will make it:) a. option to add my logo b. option to keep search box visible
    2. that might by tricky and is not essential - define portion of a list that is displayed as a full screen a. define numbers and let user choose in which order screens are displayed
