  1. While importing a list exported by checkvist, items of the following type: "userX's note: xyz" are imported as tasks. This is true in case of plain text imports.

I faced this problem when I wanted to convert my long list from english alphabet to devanagari script using a program. As things stand, I am stuck with the old list..

Quick summary: Get export to text -> change stuff -> import from text to work properly.

  2. I get new items on my checkvist several times during the day as other users assign tasks. I don't always catch them. It would be great if I could assign a .wav file to sound when my list is incremented or changed.

  3. I would be SO HAPPY if someone would create a netvibes module for checkvist! there's already one iGoogle, but iGoogle is being discontinued.

  4. Option to hide a specific line from printing (for instance, by clicking on a line, it will show as italics, which indicates that the line won’t print). This is very useful for printing out punch-lists for our crews. Hiding the few lines we don’t want to show for clarity.

  5. I know checkvist supports tags, but clones would take it to another level.

  6. I'd be nice if all tasks created by me are automatically assigned to me. Because most of the time, that's true. I hate having the extra step to make assignments.

  7. I love that we can enter due dates inline on a new task, just using the ^ character. I was wondering if we could add a few more natural language options. For example:

    ^in 8 days or ^8 days or ^8d
    ^in 8 weeks or ^8 weeks or ^8w
    ^in 8 months or ^8 months or ^8m

    That kinda thing.

    Hard to implement?

  9. I have noticed when using the print-ready option, the text size is determined by the longest line of text. This means when printing multiple different lists, each one prints at a different scale or font size....
It would be great to be able to print at a given font size...
Of provide some other work around.

  11. Like ctrl+up/down scrolling in sublime text - very handy because when you type near the border of the document you can scroll and see further without the need of leaving the keyboard to touch the mouse and without moving the cursor from what you are typing

  12. I know this has been brought up before, but the addition of a folder structure for lists would be immensely helpful. I realize you answer is to tag the lists, and I have, but when you have many lists, it is just completely disorganized. I have created a checklist of checklists, and I know how to link them, but this still does not address the disorganized mess of checklists. I have even created a naming scheme to organize my lists in a logical order. I am no programmer, nor do I pretend to be, but I would think this would…

  13. One of the things I was looking for when I started using Checkvist is a simple but working progress bar. I think one of the few things lacking is a way to assign more or less weight to each task.
There are many ways to implement this, I am sure, but a simple one would be having 3 levels of priority:
    high(x2) - normal (x1) - low (x0.5)

If you have one High priority task and two Normal tasks and you complete the high priority one, then the task bar would move to 50% done, nor 33%.

  14. It'd be nice to be able to save lists as documents within Google Drive, with Checkvist showing up as 'handler' web app. I use a few web apps that provide this functionality.

  15. Currently I'm only allowed to assign tasks to users I've shared with. I"d like to be able to assign tasks to anyone. Currently I have to use tags then convert to assignments when/if i share the list.

  16. In Windows explorer when you are in a folder you can jump to a file simply by typing it's first letters. It would be nice if we could do this in our lists for main branches.
    Suggestion:
Hit the semicolon key ";;" twice to call for this function (It can select the first item by default) then start typing.
Why double ";" key? because it won't interfere with any other keyboard shortcut and it's the default place for little finger.
    Thank you

  17. Add a sidebar for filtering by Tags and Due Dates within the current list. It could look something like this:

    /=== Tags / Due Dates ==============
    |
    | Tags on this page:
    | [ ] #red x7
    | [ ] #yellow x3
    | [ ] #blue x1
    | [ ] #orange x4
    |
    | Due Date: [Dropdown Menu]
    | Completed Tasks: [Dropdown Menu]
    |
    ===================================

Initially, nothing would be selected and all tasks would be shown as usual. For each tag, you can select either a checkmark or an X. If you have checked one or more tags, then only…

  19. Rather than have items run down the page
    [ ] Item 1
    [ ] Item 2
    [ ] Item 3
    [ ] Item 4

I would like the ability to flag items so that they go across the page. This would save much screen space and be more compact.
    [ ] Item 1 [ ] Item 2 [ ] Item 3 [ ] Item 4

  20. I keep my Checkvist outline in one tab and my Due items in another tab, open at all times. When I add a new due item to my outline I need to refresh the tab with my due items list. Having it dynamically update would be great!
