Prevent accidental deletion of tasks when holding down the "delete" button too long in a task
I deleted 4 or 5 tasks with 40-50 subtasks today when I cleared the text of a task by holding down the "delete" key. Unfortunately, when the text of the task was empty, the delete key started deleting tasks. Since I had everything collapsed, it deleted several root nodes before I could lift my finger off the key. The "Undo" feature only restored the last-deleted.
I now know better than to hold down the delete key, but if there's any way to prevent errors like this for some other new user without harming the best feature of Checkvist (the great keyboard shortcuts), it might be a good idea to implement it.

It is already fixed on out http://beta.checkvist.com site, on the weekend we'll push it to the production.

@JR Thanks for mentioning the backup feature. But still, we'll have to find a solution for original problem as well.

I did the same thing recently - but I was able to get back my deleted list items using the automatic backup that comes with the Pro version. http://checkvist.tumblr.com/post/4046735224/automatic-backup-of-all-lists-for-our-pro-users Sweet! I can also export my entire list structure to a zip file on my computer; that may be available to everyone or just Pro. If you don't have those you can at least export your lists manually as a backup. You'll then have them if you accidentally delete too much.
