Offline support

We would really want to implement this in a new mobile HTML5 app for iphone/android devices first.

great app. was using TASKWISE, which has both web-based & offline task mgmt and it kept everything sync'd. unfortunately the developers and parent company stopped supporting it last fall so the sync stopped working. I've been looking for super strong task mgmt software, and CheckVist kicks Taskwise's b.tt!! However, i am frequently offline so a robust offline version that allows sync to the cloud would be awesome. This gets my vote!

I love the HTML5 app / offline for Android idea.

Android user here; I'd love to see this happen.
Offline HTML2 is OK, I guess, although I'd really prefer something a little more integrated, with reminders and all that.

Checkvist has become an essential tool for my daily work (to do lists, project management, process checklist etc.). I have a pretty stable internet connection at my office but when travelling I often have to work offline. Not being able to access my lists then, means that I am far less productive.

I've just discovered your excellent and lovely service. I have an ADSL connection but internet goes off repeatedly in our country Iran. That is very frustrating.

Offline database of our data would be great. Even better would be the ability to create and manage data offline and when back online, have that data sync up to our data in the cloud.
I gave this 3 votes.

... for Android, i.e. an Android app that can be used where there is no connectivity, e.g. on the train or inside a building.

I'd even pay for an offline version. To have the app running independently on my machine would be ideal; I could then update the other computers occasionally when connected to the internet. Some of us spend a lot of time offline, you know!

I would be delighted to have offline READ ONLY support. Updates would be a plus.

Ref: any desktop version, it would be good to click on an icon in the system try - immediately launching a text box where you could enter new tasks in bulk. This would be a very quick way of capturing new to dos.

I too need this feature badly. I am going on a trip in less than a month, and I need to be able to access my to-do lists even when I have no Internet access. If it is hard to implement read/write offline access, just read offline access would still help greatly.

I'd love an offline version too to work on on my netbook on my knee on the train on the way in and out of work! Would be ideal then if it could easily synch with my account once I'm back online, but if necessary import/export the XML would do fine.
In case of interest, I've been using freemind for offline mind mapping

An offline version is necessary if connection to Internet is down or slow.

This would be great, but IMO there are tons of things I would like to see first (due dates, tagging, reminders).

I too have been searching all day for an app that would do this. I found checkvist yesterday and put in an awesome todo list for my job, then was told that I could not use an outside server to host critical company data. An offline version (even if it was a user-installable web package) would be MOST beneficial!

You know guys, I spent the whole day searching for an offline ToDo manager which is as easy to use as Checkvist AND features the nested sub-tasks. There is NO manager out there that is lightweight and has this feature. The ones that do are too heavy and overladen with other features no one needs. Please, please give us an offline app that I can sync with Checkvist. I wish I could program.
