Sidebar in FireFox
I would like to have a sidebar/simple version of Checkvist open while I work using my computer. This would resemble the sidebar available directly/indirectly for Remember The Milk or Todoist.
Just has been re-implemented as an add-on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/checkvist_firefox/
See View→Sidebar menu.

I think the admins can call this "complete." See this posting (it works wonderfully in Firefox sidebar):

BTW, I hacked together a user style (req. stylish for firefox) to do this. It's working well for me.

@ martin: Agreed, I bookmarked the mobile interface + set it to load in sidebar [FF3] but it does only half the job as it displays only the checklist names in the sidebar - the actual list of tasks opens up in a browser tab which is not quite what I want. There is a Todoist sidebar extension that does do it the way I like. But then I am looking for a reliable alternative to an unreliable Todoist.

I've been running Checkvist in a Mozilla Prism window and it works great. It's not integrated in the browswer, but it's easy to access, lightweight and can minimize to your tray to save realestate. Just install Prism, and the Prism addon for FF, then pull up Checkvist in FF and select Tools --> Convert Website To Application and follow the prompts.

If a mobile version were developed it could be used in this way too...
