Moving tasks with Ctrl + arrow keys for Mac (OSX 10.7.5) /Safari only works in the "up" direction
Moving tasks with Ctrl + arrow keys for Mac (OSX 10.7.5) /Safari only works in the "up" direction... has anyone else experienced this? I am finding the alternative shortcut keys (K and J) extremely unintuitive.
Most likely, there is a conflict for Ctrl+arrows shortcut and system shortcuts (on a Mac, this Ctrl+arrows are used to switch spaces, as far as I remember).
There is a Ctrl+J/K alternative for this shortcut as well.

Not popular with everyone. But thanks for thinking about it!

I've rechecked Ctrl+Arrows on Mac 10.8.2 on Safari 6.0.2 - no problems, if Ctrl+arrows are not used by spaces/mission control.
J/K is a rather popular alternative for up/down keys, we won't change this.

That's what I initially thought, but I reassigned my space-switching shortcuts on Mac OSX to F1 and F2 a long time ago. The ctrl+arrow combinations are not otherwise occupied in any way. Still, granted that, as you point out, many Mac users will already be using Ctrl+arrow keys for space-switching, should there not be a more intuitive combination for the checkvist operations? K + J seem impervious to memorisation... even something like I + K would be better, at least there you could visualise the direction the topic will be moved to.
