I believe due dates would be useful, and would prefer to have them by task versus by user. Simplicity should be the key! Of course, this can cause complications since due dates for childern tasks can conflict with due dates for parents, etc. There is even some possibility of confusion of meaning if you can assign due dates to both parents and children.

Hello everyone!
We've started this due-date task. And we need your help. Please tell us: given that checklists are shareable between several people, shall we assign a due date individually for each writer or due-date should be a per-task attribute, i.e. visible to everyone who sees the checklist?
For example, colored tasks are colored to everyone.
What do you think? -

Had another idea:
Instead of Deleting a task (say a meeting is canceled or you've bought groceries, but need to buy them again next week) you can "postpone" it to a future date.
So it is deleted from your task list, but again - it reappears next week ("New Task! Buy groceries") -

Instead of having a "Due Date" It might be better to have a future date for a task.
Let's say I want to have my car tested in six months - I put "Take Car to Garage" and assign it to appear in six months, then you can have an "Archive" of future tasks which are actually hidden until the date you insert (Hide/Show Future Tasks?) -

It would be good to have recurring tasks with the kind of syntax used by Remember the Milk/Todoist - e.g. 'ev' for every and other such abbreviations. Also, if this idea was implemented, the ability to 'postpone' a due task (by a user-configurable period of time) could be useful for the procrastinators amongst us ;)

PLEASE implement due dates! I'm lost without them and am sticking with Todoist for that reason only. If you implemented due dates, this would be a near perfect app. :)

And need to say, that the idea of a "shortlist" is much more useful than abstract "colors" and "marks"!

Understood :-)
I do not use due dates either, but what I would like to have, is a kind of a "shortlist" - a list of tasks that I want to complete soonest (and would not like to forget about). So I would mark a task as "shortlisted" (color changed? icon added?) with a possibility to set a reminder until it's completed. And no pondering over "This Tuesday" or "Next Wednesday" options. -

My desire is to introduce such features very accurately. It's very important to avoid the complicated interface. The "notes" feature implemented in a _very_ "neat" way. And the same for the dates/notifications should be done. The reason for my comment is very simple: I DON'T WANT such feature. It's evil )) So, it should be invisible in case it is unused ;)
