Bug: Can't share with others
This seems to be a bug: Can't share with others: I just tried to share a checklist with someone else, and they get the message: "cannot share list, sorry". Tried it via link and email, with two different emails, and the other party also tried to share a list with me, with the same result. I have successfully shared lists with others in the past, so I think there must be something wrong. Thanks for hints or fixes!

[bug] If task contains SGML-like tags, they are preserved but lowercased.
Add task with text "<testLowerCase>aa</testLowerCase>".
Observe: task text is "<testlowercase>aa</testlowercase>".3 votes -

Bug report: using Chrome Browser on Win 7 - From the "due" screen if I use the keyboard shortcut "ll" to pull up my list of lists it only shows lists that have items on the "due" screen. Use Case: I am on the due screen and decide I wish to add an item to my "inbox" list which is currently empty. I type ll to open the list dialog and type the name of the list "inbox" at no time has it let me select the inbox and if I hit enter, it creates a second "inbox" list. The…

Add an option to show task hierarchies on search pages
Currently when you search or display due tasks, or search for tasks - the tasks hierarchy is flatten on the search page. It would be great to have an ability to view task hierarchy itself, because in my example I've a lot of similarly named tasks but in different hierarchies.

Bookmarklet should contain a link to Checkvist
The bookmarklet should include a prominent link to Checkvist in it, so I don't have to keep two CV buttons in my browser bar

Filtering by specific Due Dates
Maybe I'm missing something: when I click on a due date, let's say "Jan 13", the filter is set to "^next week". This is of course also useful, but sometimes I am just interested in tasks due on "Jan 13". Is there a way to filter for those tasks?

automatic backups to dropbox or email
have got a pro user account so I have the cloud backups available but would really love to have the ability to have these backups automatically synced to my dropbox account or email as although the cloud is very safe I would feel better using checkvist for work when I know I got a daily backup on my own machines

loading data bug
Sometimes when I try to load a checkvist, it just sits there forever, saying "Loading data." I'm using the most recent version of Chrome and Mac OS X. Contact me for the javascript trace.

Create a scrollbar for the user list
At 15 users, the list is already longer than my screen will support. It's a catch-22: If I try to use the Windows desktop scroll-bar to see the rest of the drop-down items

Due Date Shortcuts
Now that you've created due date shortcut tags, it's actually creating more work for me. Let's say I add a new task and start typing "Friday" into the main field, it defaults to "^next Friday" instead of "^Friday". It becomes a two step process where I have to type my date and then select the correct date tag from the popup menu. The other option is to type "due: Friday" but again, that's more typing than I want to do, considering that several weeks ago, I could just type "Fri" and everything worked just as intended.

Old keyboard shortcuts for notes
Would like to hit ESC after entering a note and have it close the notes and go back to the task.
Now hitting ESC will cancel selection, but hitting up or down will bring you to the top or bottom of the entire list, not just one task.3 votes -

Tab crashing/freezing in Google Chrome
I'm using Google Chrome 15.0.874.121, running on Ubuntu Linux 10.04.
Sometimes, when a new task is being added, at the point where Checkvist would normally expand the text box automatically as I type, the whole browser tab becomes unresponsive.
I can work-around this by hitting Return after a few words (before the text box would be auto-expanded) and then double-E to edit the item and add the rest of the sentance. The bug only seems to hit for items that are being newly added.

Add Smart Syntax for priority and color
It would be really convenient if I could specify the priority or color when I create or edit the task using Smart Syntax.
This may seem trivial but the Smart Syntax is really convenient for tags and dates because it helps keep your frame of reference while you're still thinking about the task.
It would also be really helpful when importing multiple tasks, including a hierarchy of tasks. Just as checkvist can be asked to parse the tags and dates on each line, it could also parse priorities and colors.
My suggestion is to introduce another prefix character, such as…

Provide 'im' shortcut to invoke 'Import' dialog window
Checkvist's keyboard support is really useful for adding tasks quickly. But it's often useful to add a bunch of tasks all at once.
This can happen, for example, when I copy a list of tasks I got by email and just want to paste them all into checkvist in one shot. Currently, I have to add each one separately, which is a bit annoying.
Here's another example where this would be useful for me. When I start on a writing project, at some point I know how many chapters or sections there will be in the final product. Right now,…

Public version forcing people to login
We have a public Checklist my students have been accessing online during this past semester with no problems. Within the last 48 hours, the list link and the page I embedded it into force students to log in to Checklist. Any help would be appreciated. I have made the list public and un-public to see if that would make a difference.
