How can we improve Checkvist?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  2. Allow importing from Word

    Since Checkvist has a very similar hierarchical structure to Word's outline, it would be helpful to be able to import from that application.

  3. Icons and additional colors

    Icons to indicate types of tasks (i.e., projects, checklists, calls, meetings, items to buy, etc.). These should appear to the left of the first word of the task. Additional color selections.

  4. Time stamp in "task details" is not local time

    I don't quite know how to approach this problem, since I also share lists with people from different time zones, but I don't exactly understand what time is used in the "task details".
    Whatever time it is, it's 10 hours earlier than the real time (When I close a task at 13:00, it shows 03:00).

    I don't know if it should be GMT(+/- #), local time or not, but an issue worth reviewing, no?

  5. hollow triangle on tasks w/ no subtasks (much tidier look!)

    Put a hollow triangle to the left of a task with no subtasks. It's just decoration, no clickable function.

    That way, the left sides of all tasks at the same level line up perfectly, and you get a much tidier outline. The eye sees the nesting structure more easily.

  6. choose a checklist as the homepage instead of overview page

    instead of seeing the overview page when you log in, allow us to choose one of the checklists as the first page we see when we log in.

  7. Checklists in tabs...

    I think it would be helpful to create tabs of created checkvists. For example, underneath the menu bar (where you have "expand/collapse", "add notes", "copy", etc.) where the title of the checkvist is displayed, you add tabs going to the right for easy checkvists switching...

    This is a bug - as it seems like the email notification is not working.

  9. allow checklists to be integrated into other checklists

    It would be great if it's possible to integrate checklists into eachother... You would have one general checklist, not shared, and under this checklist you would have a task that's actually a shared checklist... So this would give an enormous flexibility...

  10. Change the keyboard shortcut for moving tasks

    As many people use the Spaces feature of Leopard in Mac OS is not very convenient to use the default shortcut to shift between spaces for moving tasks up and down.
