vertical lines to indicate the level of the subtasks as in workflowy
workflowy has grey thin vertical lines indicating the level of subtasks - it makes the whole more oversightfull.
3 votesSo far, we don’t want to add more vertical lines to the interface, sorry.

android native app
I know you're talking about HTML 5, etc., but I am sincere when I say I would use your list and even pay for it if you had an android native app NOW! The mobile UI, well, sucks. :) It's just too slow and not versatile. Your online app is outstanding. Please let those of us who love it continue to use it by making it truly accessible!
0 votesWe won’t implement native non-HTML5 app ourselves. Current mobile version is not that fast, but we plan to create offline-capable version.
There is an attempt to create such an app here: http://jabanaki.blogspot.com/2011/09/todotoday-for-checkvist.html

Automatically colour-code dates according to how soon they are
Would it be possible to automatically colour-code dates according to how soon they are? e.g. orange = today, red = this week, purple = next week, blue = following two weeks?
3 votesSorry, I don’t think we’ll add such a possibility – too cryptic. Consider voting for https://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/1191889-add-more-time-options-on-due-display?ref=title and using search options like ‘due: current week’

Export Only Open Tasks
I'm often exporting tasks from projects to send to other team members. But I don't want to send them tasks which are already Closed. They only need today's open tasks for example. It would be nice to have that as a filter in the Export dialog. "Include Only Open Tasks" or something like that.

Cut/Copy/Paste - alternate keystrokes
Could alternate keystrokes for these operations please be created?
Different browsers react inconsistently & differently to these keystrokes - some not at all.
For me, for those that do react, it is very slow - I expect dedicated keystrokes would permit direct operations, rather than inadvertently interacting with the cut/copy/paste direct browser functionality, and so be rather faster.
1 voteThis request could be implemented in the scope of http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/158283-custom-keyboard-shortcuts-ability-to-control-vim
Regarding slowness of the copy/paste operations – these operations are performed on the server-side, because they copy not only text, but all the metadata (+subtasks, notes).
I’d appreciate if you provide more details when the copy/paste is slow/unreliable – please write us directly to kirsa@checkvist.com. Thanks!

Import what you export
When notes are exported in indented text, they do NOT become notes on import from the same indented text.
3 votesWe cannot distinguish notes from text with a non-structured text export. To preserve full information (which could be imported back) – use OPML format.

Hello, looks like this is a duplicate, please vote for the following issue instead:

Support hyper-linking one task to another or Precedence / Dependence
The idea is allowing me to link one task to another by clicking on a hyperlink and / or keyboard shortcut. This would allow tasks or ideas to be in different parts of the tree structure but to still be linked together easily. This is a great way to show a preceding task or a dependent task.
2 votesYou can get HTML link for a task by hovering date timestamp Actually, usual HTML hyperlinks should work.
Also, you can use syntax
[link: text|URL] and take task’s URL by hovering last update link in show details mode. For more usable approach, please vote for http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/1045559-easy-linking-to-existing-lists-and-tasks

Hello,
Could you please clarify, what do you mean “blank screen”? When a list is shared with a specific user, we show a corresponding message.May be, you’ve found some bug? Could you probably write us via e-mail (kirsa@checkvist.com) and describe your actions, what you expect, and what you see.
Thanks a lot!

We’re going to provide Pro users with the History feature, which will let you see all modification history. It’s a separate request, please watch or vote it here: http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/113891-save-multiple-revision
As for deleted items, you can switch on the “Hide completed” option in the Options menu, and then complete tasks instead of deleting them. Thus completed tasks won’t clutter the list, but stay always available.

Focus on subtree
Like the [TAB] function in CoMapping, it would be nice to "zoom in" (focus) on a node and its subnodes - and just show its parent nodes in some compact format
3 votesI think this is duplicate of this request, please vote for it:

Round-trip import-export
Currently, import functionality is not on par with export. I needed to do a pretty complex rearranging of tasks, and thought it would be much easier in, say, Notepad++. It was, but importing just does not understand task status and colors as export writes them.
3 votesI’m afraid we won’t support full markup import for non-OPML formats.
If you have ideas which features would be nice to simplify task rearrangement inside Checkvist, without need to export – please share.

keyboard shortcuts: h/l keys map to left/right arrows (like in vim)
H would be left and L would be right. Now I never have to take my hands off home row! You already have J/K mapped. Please make it so :)
3 votesHello Eric,
Unfortunately, we cannot fulfill your request. Checkvist already has shortcuts ‘hh’ and ‘ll’ and these shortcuts will conflict with simple ‘h’ and ‘l’. Sorry for that. -

Custom Keyboard shortcuts
Personally, I would like to switch up the keyboard shortcuts so that everything is a key chord with Ctrl. Particularly navigation. I am sure other people have other crazy ideas.
