List of links to tasks, cross-list tasks

Hello, looks like this is a duplicate, please vote for the following issue instead:

Roman,
Semantically, I don't want to separate issues for creating links for cases "within the same list" and "across multiple lists". May be, during the implementation, I'll start with a more simple variant, but it will be decided later.
Best,

I do not think this task is a duplicate of http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/86089-embed-existing-lists-sublists-not-just-hyperlinks.
This task is just about creating a linked copy of 1 task somewhere else *in the same list*.
Once the linked task ("shortcut") is completed, the source task is also completed.
Once the linked task ("shortcut") is deleted, nothing else happens. The case when one task appears in multiple lists (say, in WBS of a project, then in "TO-DO" list - other cases are possible) will be a very common scenario of using the app.

Made a duplicate of this )
"Display link to CheckVist task not just as url, but as source task data (title, deadline, assignee, state etc). If possible, automatic closing/invalidating of link (and it's parent) when original task updates would be amazing.
I suppose it would be fine if the task contains only URL to CheckVist task and nothing else.
As of why it can be useful: we have a list to track feature-requests and lists to track tasks, so some of requests are linked to work tasks."

Neil, thanks for the comment. I suppose, you're looking for "saved search" feature, take a look: http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/1673527-support-saved-searches-dynamic-lists
Is it what you're looking for? -

I was about to create a separate idea for virtual or meta lists, but that's one variant of this idea. A virtual list could not have regular items in it, you could only "pull items through" from other lists.
I have 8 different lists, some of them shared with different people. I'd like to have a "this week" list: at the start of the week I could assemble the week's list from my regular lists. I don't want to use due dates, because one of the lists is just a "backburner" list, which I can cherry pick off.
I can just about achieve it by adding a 'thisweek' tag; Maybe you add a "tag list" feature, which puts a link to the relevant search on your lists page? -
Indeed, creating links to tasks is really complicated, totally agree.
To handle tasks from several lists which should be done next you can use due and tags. Checkvist allows to search cross-lists both by due and by tags.

@Raj Patel: with the "due" thing but you can't reorder tasks and mix task order between several lists.
@Kirill: ok, but with permalink you have to click on it to copy link, then go to the list you want to paste it, create a task and paste the link. Then when task is done you have to click on the link to go to the actual list and then press 'space' to tell it's done. And mark the link as done or delete it. A bit complicated and require two mouse clicks. But, perhaps my need is a bit apart the checkvist goals. How you guys handle tasks from several lists that must be done next? You only use due today thing?
-
BTW, you can create a hyperlink to a task. Task's permalink can be found by hovering task last modification date.

You can do that by setting due dates and going into the due list. You can go through each list and tag each item you want done today with the today tag (keyboard shortcut - td) and they will automatically appear in the due queue. If you know ahead of time when things are due, just put the date when you enter them and it will be done automatically.

I have a list for project1 and one for project2. I need to fill a list "Thing to do today" with task from project1 and project2 and then order this list as I plan my day.
For now, to do that I move task from project1 and project2 to "Thing to do today". but then I lost my ordering end hierarchy of tasks in project1 at project2.
It would be nice to send just a task's link into "Thing to do today" and ordering this list without actually modifying project1 list organisation but with status update of the task as I go through my "Thing to do today" list.
Or is there an other way to do this in the current version of checkvist?
Thanks!
