Public lists shouldn't show real e-mail addresses!
Having made a public list, it is showing my e-mail address, and sd shows who last updated the tasks. (email address)
Isn't this a bad thing, spammer wise?
If it is showing id instead of e-mail list, I've been forced to use my e-mail address as my id - different places want id vs. e-mail, and it became too confusing to use and share with in any other fashion than using e-mail addresses as id's. e.g. Sharing a list.
On a public list, this information should be obfuscated.
Perhaps clicking on the obfuscated text one could get a note to the list owner?
You can specify your name on Checkvist profile page. It will be used instead of e-mail.

In Checkvist you have only a name and an e-mail. No hidden IDs. E-mails are used to login and they are hidden. Names are shown to the public.
When you share a list, you can use completion of e-mails for users you've shared your lists with already.
And for public lists, we provide information which task item was changed by whom (by showing user name, not e-mail). This is a feature which we're not going to drop. Just change your username, and the problem will disappear :)

Yes, and my point is, as indicated, checkvist is too confusing between name, id, e-mail, and what all. I think we particularly noticed this when trying to share - we could not remember the other's checkvist id, but we could remember their e-mail. Ultimately, we gave up and changed the account names to e-mail addresses. Sadly, it looks like this means we have exposed our e-mail addresses to the world and spammers. This is not a good feeling.
Just because a list is public, doesn't mean their account id should be publicized. A 'contact list owner' link would be a good replacement.
