Allow everyone to edit notes, not just the note's author
If you use sub-tasks instead of notes, they’ll be editable by all people sharing the list. Notes are personal comments to the tasks.

Have to agree with Josh. Entirely.
Notes are not personal comments to tasks, they flesh out the details summarized in the brevity of the task title.
If you want personal notes, then you need to add a comment facility, a la docs. Which, from a checkvist perspective, probably merely means prefaced with a #person tag.
sashika's attitude here does Checkvist no credit.

Josh, as developers, we always listen to what our users say. But decision to implement a request must be based on a clear understanding the needs. It's time, it's effort, and if we reject a request, it means we don't understand it's value, or that value is too little - in our eyes (and it can always be changed, give you more arguments, not just "our team wants").
Thanks! -

The idea that sub-tasks should be used in place of notes muddies the distinction between tasks and notes. Tasks are not notes. Notes are notes. And our team wants to be able to share notes rather than having to depend on the original author of a note to update it. Declining this request seems to indicate that Checkvist would rather cater to developer's preferences rather than users. Not cool.
