Link from one node to another node (in another list)
Would be great to be able to link from one node to another (in the same or an external list)
For example, say you have a list of Events (with several event details in the list), and a list of People (with their many details in there)
For each event, you can then independently link straight to the Person, instead of copying the entire person under each event they will attend. That way, for each event, you won't have to replicate people (and their entire tree of details) if someone chooses to attend more than one event.
Proper links like wave should work in Checkvist already. And you can link to individual tasks since recent update.

Kirill, this manual link process should work just fine for now - thanks very much!!

@Hash Cat: On checklist page, hold the Ctrl button on keyboard. After a couple of secs, detailed information about tasks will appear (or you can choose "Show details" under view option pane). If you hover on date of task modification, you'll see this is a link, which can be used to refer to particular task.
Hope this helps,

@ Peter: Thanks for that. Linking works, but I was hoping to link to a particular node (i.e. task). So instead of just opening up the Project A list, it would open the Project A list directly into a sub-item of Item # 18. Item 18.4.3 for instance.

@ Kirill: That would be perfect - linking to a particular task in another list. How do you do that? Didn't see anything in the help section. Thanks!

Apparently You cant use proper link here, either :-P

@ hash: I use Checkvist's auto-formatting/recognition of URLs entered in tasks and comments to link from one list to another. (See <a href="http://checkvist.uservoice.com/pages/2121-general/suggestions/96447-basic-html-tag-support-external-links-at-least-">this suggestion</a>)
I keep a list of current projects and include the URL for a given project in the task text. It works really well, allowing me to open my "day" and open multiple projects in new tabs.
I would prefer I be able to use a link applied to text as I did above, but that's not currently possible.

..... this could eventually lead to the implementation of a node that is (essentially) a drop down box. Whose values would be limited to the values of the nodes of another list.
For instance, you have shopping list . And you want to enter location under each item (as a sublist). And you basically shop from 5 stores.
Now if you had a separate 'store' list with 5 values, you wouldn't have to enter location manually under each shopping item, but you could select from a drop-down, having specified the 'store' list to be your source.
Understand the direction of this comment may take the concept of a quick, simple and highly usable list to another level.. but I think it serves also as a light, highly maneuverable and easily implemented database.
