Retry failed saves
If an item can't be saved because the server is having problems Checkvist could retry after a period of waiting, then back off by more and more time to avoid overloading the server when it comes back.
The current behavior leaves the item(s) grayed out and orphaned. Trying to edit the item edits the name of the list instead. You can copy the text from each grayed out item and add a new one, but that's a pain.

Do not show invalidated tasks as completed on lists view
The option to 'Invalidate Tasks' (shift + space) is very handy. I use it for notes that are not tasks.
But when you go to the main lists page, where it shows red boxes with completed tasks towards the right of the screen, invalidated tasks are included as completed.
It would be better if invalidated tasks were not included here at all. This is because they are not tasks!
Hope that makes sense... Thanks again for a great application.

Make task state radio buttons larger in mobile version
Current size of "open", "close",... radios on edit task screen is not big enough for usable touch. I usualy get into other fields when tried to push "closed" on task. It would be good to make them bigger.

Some way to stop notifications for archived projects.
When I get emails from Checkvist, it includes status updates about archived projects. I'm not sure how that is helpful since archiving implies it is not longer receiving attention from the PM.

Search for tasks without due date
I use the due dates to manage tasks across multiple lists. I worry that I may have missed adding a date to a task in one of my lists and, as a result, may never complete that item. It would be useful to have the ability to search across all lists for all items that do not have due dates assigned.
11 votesdue:none should be working now, both for search and for filtering.

Name in the Share dialog
Currently, when I want to share a list with my colleague Ivan Ivanov, Checkvist shows me e-mail addresses. I don't remember Ivan's address and I have to call him by the phone or by skype and ask his address (for example - ii73murmansk@gmail.com). Then Checkvist add my colleague into the list where he is shown as his login (for example, mr.lodkin). I have to guess that this login belongs to my colleague Ivan Ivanov...
My idea is to allow to search users by their names, and show them in lists by their names too.

Sort only a subset of the list
I like the sorting functionality already implemented (sort A-Z, priority, due date), but it would be nice if one could sort only subtasks of a given task without sorting the while tree of tasks.

Have search scoped for Archive or non-Archive not both
SUGGESTION
Have search limited so it's scope is Archived items if you are viewing the Archives and non-Archived items if you are not.PROBLEM
Items I want to keep for possible reference but not look at often or items I want to move out of the way until their due dates come around are ideal candidates for the Archive feature. Keeping the main list of lists clean. The problem is that search finds items regardless whether they are Archived or not and over time the number of Archived items being found will only grow.

True Delegation Allowing Assignees Only To Comment and Complete Tasks (Permissions)
This tool does a great job simplifying collaboration, organization, and notification. What is missing is the ability to delegate a task, giving the assignee ONLY the ability A) Mark the Task Complete and B) Make Comments. I subscribe to Pro so I have all the features. Sometimes I am not collaborating, but rather delegating a list of things that have to be done. When I create this list of tasks I don't want "the monkees to run the zoo" so the list should be read only. However, the assignees should be able so make status comments and mark their own…
3 votesAssignees now can add notes (‘nn’), attachments (‘at’) and complete/reopen assigned tasks in read-only lists. Attachments are available for PRO assignees only.

Detect OS for keyboard shortcuts
The list of shortcuts down the left is really useful, but seems to be for windows. It would be really useful to detect the OS and display the mac alternatives when in OSX etc.
3 votesBut we do! The sidebar shows OS specific shortcuts. If you’re on OSX and still see the Windows style shortcuts, pls, send us a screenshot and your browser details. (On a sidenote: both Windows and MacOS styles are supported, so you can use either ⌘D or Ctrl+D alike)

#private tag for published lists
There should be a tag #private that ALWAYS keeps a task just to the list's author, even of published and shared lists.

Share via link, with a password
I want to share checklists with people who may not appreciate being asked to sign-up for the service just to view them, but I don't necessarily just want to publish the list for the universe and Google's web crawlers. I'd like password-protected lists so that I can selectively share with certain people by giving them a link and a password.

Pressing tab to indent a task while creating it no longer works
Before the latest update I could press the Tab key while creating a new task to indent it under the preceding task. This no longer works and I have to finish creating the task and hit tab when no longer in edit mode.

iOS devices: Big-ass "Add Task" Button somehow?
Hi - would love a way to more quickly add tasks on my iPad - clicking on an existing task, waiting for the dropdown, entering text and adding is just slow compared to alternative apps - any way to have a quick-add button or something like that?
