Current work in progress for the offline HTML5 hybrid app, please try it: https://checkvist.com/auth/mobile
We also have a separate feature pool for it:

I use checkvist regularly. I have a samsung galaxy tab 7" tablet. So I use the checkvist with this tablet. I tried sevaral possibilities. I've found that the browser is the best available to edit checkvist.
It works good, but not perfect. I use the sidebar-hints' links to edit the nodes.
I did a screen mockup about the required version of the checkvist: http://i.imgur.com/cQcIc.pngthe reqiured changes:
-http://t.checkvist.com/checklists url for the tablet version of the site;
-the tablet version should be fixed width;
-and in the tablet version the sidebar-hints should be converted to a table, always shown at the bottom of the page;That's it! Not a big deal. And it works (I use the sidebar properly, but without the sideways slide of the screen, it would be much easier!)
Please, do it!

In Miren browser (on my samsung tab) there is an option for 'ipad' user agent, and it works well (actually almost all of the features available - actually only in landscape position). It's not perfect, but far better than mobile ui.
Some suggestions: the right sidebar should stay fixed ('cause it's neccessary at the editing point), and the disabling of the horizontal screen panning (somehow) would be great, it would be great to have a sidebar without the text explanations.
So, thnx for the working android solution, but carry on improving it!An error occurred while saving the comment sityu commented
Android will be the leading mobile platform soon, so i suggest focusing on it.
http://www.motherapp.com/ seems to be a great service to develop mobile services.
http://android-outliner.blogspot.com has a fairly good UI, but without any working on-line capabilities. -

Really good and useful request.
Regarding accidental data loss: Checkvist Pro account gives you up to 10 daily backups of all your lists. Not the same, but may help in some cases.

By the moment, you can modify Checkvist presentation in the PRO plan. You can alter some colors, and provide advanced custom CSS styles which allow to change the font size. But this requires hard CSS coding. We need to provide simple way to specify different styles for a list.
The sample CSS for reducing font size in the list is:
ul.topLevel li { font-size: 12px;}
ul.topLevel ul li, ul.topLevel ul li.task { font-size: 10px;}Some more customisation samples can be seen in this list: https://checkvist.com/checklists/486715

I've found this site: http://developer.wordpress.com/docs/oembed-provider-api/
I'm not an expert in coding, but I think this feature provides the solution, If the parameters set properly.
