This page should also have a filter by action type (added/modified/deleted at least)

    A comment from a customer:

I just found that a list can be filtered with the changed: keyword.
Could you possibly add a filter to something like "since last visit"
(keyboard shortcut 'lv') or perhaps something like
    changed:after-last-visit or changed:unseen?

Filtering this way is better than nothing, although I really would
prefer highlighting the items (perhaps with dots next to them or with
boxes around them) so that I can see everything in context, so that's
another idea/suggestion as well. (This could apply to all of the
choices in the changed: filter keyword.)

    Hello,

    current/previous week starts with Monday.
You can also use changed: 7d to get filter for the last 7 days.

James, your suggestion is quite reasonable, thanks!
So far, a workaround is to use global search, and include changed: today filter there

    Hello Mario,

Thanks a lot for the comment. Unfortunately, we don't have close plans to implement this feature, but if we do it in the future, your ideas may definitely help :)

    Thanks again,

Good idea, though tough to implement.
The real problem arise on how to present all these custom fields in the interface. We don't want to turn Checkvist interface in to a mess of many strange bad looking fields, and a decent UI solution for custom attributes is really not easy one.

We'll definitely consider improving the usability of the Checkvist Bookmarklet, maybe in different areas. So your feedback is really helpful.

    Hello, Mario,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts about Checkvist bookmarklet.

Checkvist is not designed as a bookmark-collecting app, though it can be used this way. Personally, I always add either a tag or a due when saving a page, so one-click saving is not very useful.

As for extra space in menu, you can safely hide Checkvist bookmarklet in the toolbar. Right-click on its button -> Hide in menu.

For faster work with the extension - Alt+Shift+C shows the extension window, and Ctrl+Enter to add to Checkvist without changing the target list. You don't need to touch the mouse and I believe this would work faster than clicking on the extension button.

But to make the extension button adding the current page to some default list is a good idea, and we'll implement it one day :)

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello Peter,

Thanks for describing your workaround, I see the pain :(

Could you please let me know, why don't you use notes for such question/answers discussions of the content? Our notes are more like comments, and initially, they were developed for such discussions.

I understand that it won't solve permission issues and won't place comments on the side, but at least you won't need to close tasks/hide completed etc. for printing.

    Thanks,

AdminKirill Maximov (CEO / Founder, Checkvist) commented  ·

From what you write I see that you suppose adding another level of commenting in the right sidebar (there could be an option to view existing notes in the right sidebar, but it is not your idea, right?).
I'm afraid, I don't see a use case for such functionality so far. Why have different levels of comments for different groups of people?

Or your main point is to allow commenting of read-only lists? Than your request probably duplicates this one: http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/548517-let-clients-comment-even-in-read-only?ref=title

AdminKirill Maximov (CEO / Founder, Checkvist) commented  ·

I should admit I don't see how could we add both notes and comments in the Checkvist. Inline comments and collaboration in GDocs are nice, but Checkvist is outliner and not text processor. For individual list items you can collaborate using notes. Adding comments for fragments of the text in list items sounds cumbersome for me.

A short note - it is possible to use CSS like

    #parentTask_0 .dueFuture { display: none; }

To hide items (with sub-items) with due after tomorrow from all screens except the Due page.

    May be useful to someone.

@John Hicks I think you can create a subtask of your Due task and assign a Start date for this subtask. This way this "Start day task" will appear in your Due list when you have to start working on the task. Not a true solution, but a workaround.

Actually, I think we'll need another state for such tasks.

I should admit that I tried to mix concepts here.

Both recurring tasks and due tasks may have an option "hide until there are n days before due date". But in case of recurring tasks, the task's due will re-appear in the future, and for simple postponed tasks, they won't.

I.e., as I understand this request, for a due task with due in the future, I can specify a number of days before due, when this task will appear in the view.

Also, there should be a command/filter to show all postponed tasks.

An error occurred while saving the comment
AdminKirill Maximov (CEO / Founder, Checkvist) commented  ·

Jonathan, if you're able to complete the task today, you can just complete it and remove the due date at all. This way it won't be re-opened again. If I understand your scenario properly, of course.

An error occurred while saving the comment
AdminKirill Maximov (CEO / Founder, Checkvist) commented  ·

May be, this is just a duplicate of "recurring due tasks"? When a due task is completed, it can be hidden from the view. But when there are, say, 5 days before the due date, the task can be reopened (and will 1. become visible 2. you'll be notified via e-mail a day before the due date).
