May I ask you, where do you see the information that it is possible to negotiate iframe approach with wordpress?

Unfortunately, it looks like Checkvist's iframe cannot be used in oembed API - there is no appropriate type for its data, and iframe is not allowed.

Indeed, the tags page is also a good candidate, but IMO it is used much more rarely than active lists. For tags we'd need to implement both vertical and horizontal keyboard navigation.

Thanks for the suggestion, it is quite reasonable.

The problem here is that it is hard to convey all meta-information for a task via plain text, that's why we never considered import/export via plain text as a reversible operation. For this purpose, we use OPML format.

But still, we can make this particular improvement if we find some specific format for notes.

    Thanks again!

    Hi Robin,

I couldn't reproduce the problem yet. What is the exact sequence of actions which lead to the problem? Is it reproducable on any node? Which browser on which operating system you're using?

    Thanks,
    KIR

Thanks for the suggestion, but the matter is that when editing, the content differs from the visible text (we use some smart syntax for the text, and allow HTML formatting). So the implementation of this approach isn't trivial.

But I agree, that if I'd start writing Checkvist these days, I'd try using it :)

As I understand, the idea is to hide non-assigned tasks in the list from user

Peter, we think that it makes sense to order notes ascending or descending, but if you need to specify exact order, you should probably use subtasks?

Vladimir, thanks a lot for your thoughts - very refreshing.

Would be glad to hear your comments regarding recent article from OAuth author, where he blames current OAuth2 specification:

    Hi,

I think, SASL support would make more sense for dedicated Checkvist installations, not for an online service.

Olli, when you have hundreds of lists it is not very practical to show all the lists, I think. Right now you can filter lists either by list name, or by list tag, using live filter. Isn't it sufficient?

Steve, actually having a project name in the list name is how we cope with this problem so far. We also consider adding tagging for lists (instead of folders), corresponding request is http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/992077-tagging-for-lists

Steve, have you tried 'll' popup? It allows quick navigation to target list with typing part of its name.

Well, it is possible to add tag #task for items which are "real" tasks and treat them this way?

Do I understand correctly that you missing actual number of tasks in your outline on the index page? And that is the problem?

@caputo737 Did you try sorting your list by due date (see 'sort' in the toolbar)? As I understand, it should work the way you need, it considers due dates recursively.

Would you like group tasks within a list or globally, across all lists? Which task are you trying to solve?

It looks we'll need to write another tool to support this feature ... something like Checkvist 2.0 ;)

Our 'actions' menu is task-oriented, it doesn't include actions for lists as a whole.

May be, we should re-add it to the actions list near list name (shown by hover)?

Regarding partial task sharing with permission restrictions - please vote for http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/2590124-share-a-filtered-list-with-restricted-permissions and leave your comments there.

    Thanks again for your feedback.

    1) Do you need to hide non-assigned tasks, or just provide a way to show only assigned tasks? Checkvist allows to filter current view, and create a permalink which includes this filter.
    2) I suppose you're asking for something like "Recent activity page", please consider voting for http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/14940-recent-activity-page
    3) Do you mean that the task should be read-only for the assignee? How about adding sub-tasks? Completing the task with space? Changing tags?

    @Nathanael,

May be, you should use subtasks for things which could be completed and notes for additional information?

    Just a thought :)
