No need to use a big library like phone gap, it's very easy to make native apps like this. In fact I may just do it myself so I don't have to wait.

I'm using firefox for android and it continually forgets my password. Plus it opens up the page in a new tab. The AppCache thing just doesn't really work very well. Not to mention it is deprecated: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Using_the_application_cache
I have now made a silly wrapper app for android that just loads m.checkvist.com in a WebView and it seems to work much better for me (although I haven't bothered to make it work offline). I will not be putting this on the Android market but I have made the code public domain so you guys can use it if you want.
If anyone wants to try it: https://github.com/Fsmv/Unofficial-Checkvist-Wrapper/releases/tag/1.0
