register another url so I don't feel like I'm mistyping
I feel silly every time I type in www.checkvist.com. It feels like a typo.
Even if another url just redirects, I would feel better suggesting it to friends and linking to it.
some random suggestions...
www.chcklst.com for that web2.0 vibe.
www.chequelist.com would feel cosmopolitan and sophisticated.
37signals always tacks a word on the end of their urls so they don't have to buy expensive domain names. www.basecamphq.com, www.campfirenow.com, etc. can't think of an obvious cute word, but there has to be something.
Cool product, I love using it.

Will, you can use http://checklisthq.com :-) It was the original domain we’ve bought. Very 37-signalish!

have same list linked to multiple lists
not sure if this is too much work but would be handy if i could have the ability to have a list attached to another list from a different section
heres an example
original actual list
- shopping ** food **** bread **** milk **** butter ** tech gadgets *** ipod *** netbook *** mp3 player
now in a different list entirely
- wish list ** (pointer to tech gadgets list)
when i then view my wish list or my shopping list I should see the same tech gadgets sub list and any change i make in either list to this tech…

Smart syntax recognizer
I would love to see Checkvist be able to recognize syntax added in the main task entry field.
"Buy toothpaste on Monday @store #personal"
It would be cool if this would automatically recognize my syntax and create a task with a due date of Monday and tags of "@store" and "personal". I love the way "The Hit List" does this. If I recall correctly RTM does this as well to an extent.

Create a shortcut for moving comments (just like moving tasks)
Request by Jon Edlund: "I was using Checkvist earlier today in my class and the professor changed his mind about something. I had a comment and then another comment, but then I wanted to make it a task instead. I would like there to be a shortcut, just as there is for moving tasks, but for comments. Perhaps an option to send the comment to a specific Parent or Node." http://win7guruquestions.posterous.com/suggestion-for-checkvist

Add Basecamp integration
It would be really great to offer Basecamp integration. I work for several clients who use Basecamp as their project management tool. Although I like Basecamp, it's overkill for me to use it so I use Checkvist (and because of the awesome keyboard shortcuts).
The problem is; I still have to log in to each respective Basecamp to see my todo items there. I would like to have automatic synchronization with these Basecamps so I can see my Basecamp todo items in my Checkvist lists.
Basecamp has an API available (http://developer.37signals.com/basecamp/time-tracking.shtml) so it shouldn't be too hard. If…

perfect tool for those with disabilities?
it strikes me that the emphasis in Checkvist of keyboard shortcuts makes it well suited to persons with disabilities. Have you addressed this market directly?
(I am sure that there is a work around for dual key entry such as cntrl-up/down)

Label dividers
While the bar you get from "------" is nice, I would like to put some text in there so I know what the following group will be. Shortcut could be "---desired text---" to create a bar with centered text.

sorting by multiple categories - hierarchical sorting
It would be really great to be able to sort by multiple elements hierarchically.
Example:
You have a list of items to complete. The tags you are using are:
-phone
-email
-project-workYou have tasks tagged with each of these tags, but different priorities of those tasks under that tag.
Phone calls are most important, but some are more important than others. Next would be emails with different levels of priority, and last would be project-task.
You would want to sort first by tag, then by priority within each tag.
Phone
-priority 1
-Priority 2
-Priority 3Email
-Priority 1…0 votes -
Parent text colour is automatically different from child
I have Projekt on my Nokia S60 phone. And it allows you to specifiy the automatic parent child text colour arrangement. For example all parent text is in bold and all children are in italics normal. It makes for easy observation of what is a parent when you open up all children even it is downward one level. At the moment in Checkvist I have hundreds of tasks where the parent text looks like the child text. I do not want to manually color historical or current parents as I go along. I want a standard arrangement to be defined…

Half opacity in images in closed tasks
I'm working on a system to manage objects that are identified by their pictures. When I press space nothing changes visually.
I can of course hide finished tasks. But in case I'd like to keep them visible, there's nothing showing they're closed if they have no text.

increase visibility of nested tasks indicator
The object indicating a task has subtasks is light enough to be effectively invisible in some viewing situations. I imagine I am particularly having a hard time because my eyeglass prescription is out of date, and I imagine others with less than perfect vision or degrading eyesight would benefit from increased contrast between the indicator and the background.

keyboard shortcut for toggling "Show an empty field after hit enter"
"Show an empty text field after adding a task"
Actually both settings under this option are useful and I find myself repeatedly want to change back to previous setting after setting this on or off because of a new condition I'm working on.
When we are adding some tasks here and there we need that to be off and not be in the way.
But when we are in a list and adding some items one after another it's lovely to have this setting on but a chore to go the menu again!
So having a shortcut to toggle this…0 votes -
Bookmarklet doesn't work on Facebook pages (Windows, Chrome, Firefox)
The problem is caused by Content Security Policy directive, which was enabled on Facebook pages and which prevents loading of external scripts.
