  1. I want to have musical keys as tags and would need # in the tag for the sharp symbol.

    For example, tag F#

for a split second, writing #F# shows up correctly as a tag, but is then converted back to text.

Would this work with escape characters?
So, to create a F# tag, I could write
#F\# or #F\\# (I even had to use a \ at the beginning of this line so it doesn't make this line into a large heading

    Thank you

  2. It would be great, if there is a possibility to drag n drop emails from outlook to a task, and best it would be saved as *.msg – file as anattachment. (maybe like in Microsoft to-do)
    what a great tool !!

  3. I would like to have a site specific profile image/avatar, not something generic across the internet.

This article, from a WordPress perspective but generally applicable, discusses why local avatars are better for a variety of reasons: https://wptavern.com/local-avatars-in-wordpress-yes-please

  4. Hi.

I just deleted notes on a task by accident and I cannot restore them with Ctrl+z or rd. Is there another way?

    Thanks

  5. Usually, this is related to time-based sorting, either by due dates or last update date. But Z-A sorting may also be useful

  6. If you regret an undo it's nice to have a redo. Usually it's ctrl/cmd+shift+z and in other services it's ctrl/cmd+y (I prefer the first one, as it doesn't require two hands or strained fingers)

This is related, but not necessarily linked to the feature suggest for multiple undo's:

  7. Tags do not appear in ical feeds. Only the name of the containing list is shown. Like many, I use tags as one of the primary means to sort through tasks / events. It would be really handy if tags were imported as then calendars could be searched based on tags. This would show calendar views for different types of tasks / events.

  9. I would like to have a shortcut to add a new task to the top of the current list.
I mean, add to the top without taking into account the currently selected task.

  12. I export to html fairly often so I can copy my notes into another program and flesh them out as text. Every time, I have to uncheck Task Status and frequently Notes as well. It would be nice to be able to set these as defaults.

  13. First of all great product. Anyways there are 3 things that keeps me away from implementing checkvist to my entire organization:
    1) i'am not able to assign a task to a member of my team without sharing with that person a whole list. This is not good for me because i have lists which contain tasks for multiple persons and i dont want everybody to see everybody's tasks but only the tasks that i have assigned to them
2)i'am not able to see a "task updated icon" for the tasks that have been modified by the people i have assigned…

  14. OPML export does not work properly if an item has a greater than (">") symbol.

(It is probably also be the case with a less than ("<") symbol too, I did not test that specifically.)

The solution seems to be to replace the ">" symbol with ">" when exporting to OPML.

Presumably, the "<" symbol should also be replaced with "<" when exporting to OPML too.

  15. I had a subtree of tasks, and I set the parent item to empty string. (I meant to outdent the next item, but I didn't do that first.) Setting the parent to empty string was interpreted as "delete this whole tree", which I didn't want. I clicked undo at the top; the overlay changed to 'undoing'; and then nothing happened for a while. I reloaded the page, and the tree is still gone. First time I've lost data on checkvist :(

  17. The idea is to have a setting like: make a page break before every level 1 (or level 2, 3,… and so on) item.

This would ease situations like a LEVEL 1 'headline' beeing printed on the bottom of a page but the content is shifted to the next page.

  18. I've been using the Font Awesome icon glyphs to great effect to differentiate list items as shown in the linked image.

This has made it really user friendly for my clients to view a list I've shared with them and see the status of items, identify questions I have for them, and indicate when they've answered them in the list. I love it, and it's impressed clients.

I'd like be able to include more than one icon on an item to expand on this (admittadly) improvised functionality, so I can indicate with just a single list item something that requires,…

A solution to this would be a CSS like this:

    .tag.tag_question {visibility:hidden;position:absolute;}

    .tag.tag_question:before
    {content:“\f059”;font-family:FontAwesome;visibility:visible;}

Thus each tag is converted to the icon with such a tag.

    Would it work for you?

  19. The copy and paste functionality confuses the task groupings for reordering. Steps to reproduce:

    1. Create nested tasks:

    A task
    A nested task
    Another nested task

    1. Copy and paste one of the sub-tasks

    A task
    A nested task
    A nested task
    Another nested task

    1. Try to reorder any of the subtasks and the entire set of tasks moves as one unit. I cannot reorder the tasks into this arrangement:

    A task
    A nested task
    Another nested task
    A nested task

The "A task" item and everything under it moves as a single unit whenever I press shift, click, and drag any…

  20. I get used to checkvist moving my items to the right list if I just press 'mm' quickly and write the first couple of letters of a list and press enter. However, the list order/priority isn't static so if I have two lists that start the same, I often get unexpected results since sometimes doing that results the item being moved to the other list I didn't intend the item to go.

So perhaps change the 'move to' list dynamic? Until now, I hadn't noticed that you could undo with ctrl+z too, so I kept going up the page to…
