Shortcut for quick jumping to the item by typing its first characters
Maybe this is already implemented, but I didn't find this feature. For example, I have huge plain list. It's annoying to fiddle around it with Up and Down keys (OK, PgUp, PgDown, Home and End helps a lot, but navigating big list is still a time consumpting business). So how about some sort of quick jumping?

Thanks for your response!
Yes, quick jumping can be achieved using search field (and this feature is very useful, indeed), but UX and workflow is completely different.
Quick jumping:
1) press shortcut
2) enter letter, see the selection jumping to the first visible row that contains it (may be on the same hierarchy level)
3) if the selected row is not what you need type another letter until desired row will be selectedSearching with /:
1) press shortcut /
2) wait for about 2 seconds (type throttling, I suppose, or some server/client side processing)
3) all your list is now overlapped with search results, so I should continue searching/navigating the list with almost all its items hidden
4) press escape
5) navigate to required item from search results list with arrows and PgUp/PgDn/Home/End
6) type [cf] for clearing the filter
7) and now you have partially expanded list, so you should collapse back some unneeded bloated braches of your listSo, while current implementation of searching is good for filtering/searching, it's still slow for quick navigating the list.
