Add an option to show task hierarchies on search pages
Currently when you search or display due tasks, or search for tasks - the tasks hierarchy is flatten on the search page. It would be great to have an ability to view task hierarchy itself, because in my example I've a lot of similarly named tasks but in different hierarchies.
See ‘show context’ option, ‘sc’ keyboard shortcut

Currently the hierarchy could be shown via 'sc' keyboard shortcut, from 'show context'.

Thanks for noticing the lack of documentation - will update the docs.

Easter egg!
Never new about this breadcrumb mode of 'sd' shortcut in search view till now. Also didn't find anything about it in the help. Please update the help.
And yes it's not bad for this purpose. -
Hello Jonathan,
First, we plan to improve search/due pages to include more operations there (for instance, allow in-place editing). We don't have close plans to implement showing task hierarchies (definitely not in this year).
Kind regards,

Great suggestion. I would love it if the way this worked was the same as the on-list filtering where the parent and sub tasks are shown (in dimmed gray if they aren't also part of the filter results) and siblings aren't. Any plans to do this?
Breadcrumb is a really nice temporary fix, but longer term the other behavior is more ideal, at least as a view option, if possible. Any plans for this as a part of global search or saved searches/filters?

Hello, please consider using 'sd' shortcut to toggle task details. One of the modes allows to see the parent task breadcrumbs on the search results page (and on due pages).
Not ideal, but it may solve your problem.
