provide ability to turn off checklist features.
some documents need to be simple outlines -- not checklists -- It would be good to be able to turn off checklist features or create separate kinds of documents (outline or checklist outline)

Kirill, I think an a la carte set of requests makes sense, without the overall ability being a strongly desired feature.

Peter, so far, this request sounds rather vague for me - just because we cannot make "everything configurable". Regarding due dates - the corresponding setting was already added, so it is not actual anymore.
We have a separate request for default list options (like 'hide completed' or 'show details'), but again, it is not what is asked for here.
In general, I'm reluctant to adding configuration options, because they make interface more complex. It is always better to find a solution which fits most of the people.
May be, it worth adding separate requests regarding specific configuration options for Checkvist, and close this one?

I think it would be a boon to many, many users if we could turn features on and off using some kind of interface, like check-boxes for each set, e.g., schedule tasks, rich formatting, and possible future features like % complete or document uploads.
Even better would be if it was on a list by list basis. You'd need to implement a notification explaining some features from a list or task you are copying or moving to another list might not be activated, or you could have the system query the list and tasks to make sure all pertinent features are enabled to complete the copy/move action.

Hi, Doug! "yesterday's meeting" is a safe syntax - Checkvist recognizes due dates only at the very end of the list item: "meeting yesterday" will be turned into a due date. But not "yesterday meeting". And if you don't want a due date, simply put a dot after the last word in the list item - "meeting yesterday." And it won't be turned in a due date, either.

I would like to see the dates feature optionally disabled. Sometimes I want to refer to a date but it isn't the due date - for example I might say "Ask Toby where if he will be in Sydney by friday" and checkvist will assume friday is the due date when it isn't. If I want to make a note saying "Follow up yesterday's meeting" checkvist will tell me that's overdue because the word yesterday is in it.

Could you please specify more exactly which feature you would like to disable? In the current UI, there is no anything which makes a page a checklist (no checkboxes etc). What exactly you would like to turn off?
