allow way to insert creation date as 'onward date'
How hard (and bothersome) when it says the task is overdue while I want to form creation date of each entry. I try hard to gag every entry with maroon tag that says boldly, "this is overdue" na, na, na.
I am on writing project, and in entry (first column I exported from OmniOutliner), I managed to imported OPML from my Mac Mini to XP. From OmniOutliner (for Mac only) I entered the title of the story I named back in 2003, but then I see almost all entries are tagged as overdue, which in fact it is just "creation date."
While you instruct under list of shortcuts>Due Dates: "What is smart syntax? Write the above mentioned at the end of a task to automatically turn it into a due date. Turn smart syntax off by putting a dot at the end of the task.
I put down Dec 8, 2003 with a dot would make Smart syntax off, but I want it to be on so remaining tag appear normality. Sometime with dot, no syntax appear for date line {good}; sometime it doesn't obey my command not to count the date but for other tag(s) when dot is there{urgh}.
So now, I suggest under sub-menu of shortcut, can there be "creation date short cut" add, which would list CREATION DATE SHORTCUTS and CREATION DATE SMART SYNTAX. The keys could be "@" or "`" as the sign of 'onward project without-ending-in-sight.'
Thanks for your feedback. Could you provide an example of text, when you cannot disable smart syntax by putting dot at the end of the task? Or some specific example when Checkvist behaves not as expected? Please use our e-mail kirsa@checkvist.com for details.
