move item up and down regardless of hierarchy level (similar to drag and drop)
The current way to move items up and down (CTRL+up/down) is useful and should be kept like it is.
But sometimes I want to move an item exactly to a position that has a different indent level.
Let's say I have inserted a new item via email -> now it is on top of the list at level 1. I can't indent it to level 3 because there is no item above it and I even don't care if the correct indent level would be 3 or 4 or whatever.
The easiest way is to just drag-and-drop it to the position I want -> but as most CheckVist users I would prefer a keyboard shortcut to do this.
So my suggestion is to ad an additional shortcut (maybe SHIFT+CTRL+up/down) to move an item exactly on line up/down regardless of the hierarchy level.
Currently should work with
Alt+Shift+Up/Down shortcut

Hello Chris,
I'm glad you'll be able to use Checkvist more efficient now. I'll keep the original request.
Best, KIR

Hello Kirill,
and thanks for having a look at it.I feel a little stupid that I haven't thought of it myself. Of course you are right - this would be the easiest way to do it.
I think my original request would still be a useful enhancement but now has low priority to me.
Thanks

Hello Chris,
In your case, I'd suggest using cut/paste; i.e for your screenshot, you'd press Ctrl+X on the top-most item, press key down (to select parent item), and press Ctrl+V - it would paste and put the item at the top level under the parent. Would it work for you?

I just noticed that there is an additional reason for this request. If you select more than one entry you can't move them together using drag and drop. So in this case there is no workaround.

To better show the problem I created a screencast:
http://screencast.com/t/UN07h3ozWhat should be one 'shortcut' needs 10 steps (and can get even longer - depending on the number of subitems).
