  2. Hi guys,
I really like your product and it's.great to organize tasks, but I thought about another use case that could be cool. I'm looking for ages.for.a good content aggragator, where I can simply put.my links at, sync over devices, and read /sort at a later time.
Currently the most accessible way I've found is.to have a whatsapp group with myself, but it doesn't fit right in. The way I can.organize data in checkvist. Is great, but the thing that I'm.missing is link preview similar to whatsaap's /facebook's.
I guess it could be togglable. The fact that mobile apps are…

  5. Steps to reproduce: search for something across all lists.
Browse the results, moving down the items using the keyboard shortcuts.
While focused on an item, hit spacebar (to 'complete' the item).
Realise your mistake, try ctrl-z to undo. Nothing happens.
Hunt through the UI for the undo command. Can't find it.

Expected behaviour: ctrl-z should re-open the closed item.

Workaround: use 'hc' to toggle 'hide completed', locate the accidentally closed item, move focus to it and use spacebar to re-open.

  8. Checkvist is good enough to use it for personal and professional todo lists (splitted, for sure)…
But these are 2 different worlds and you may expect to use the "due" view for only one of the lists, and not see your "profesionnal" deadlines when checking your personal planning.

Regarding this, I would really like to have a way to display tasks of one list (or maybe many).

There can be many ways to allow to filter the list(s). Here are some ideas:

    add a new “list:xxx” filter

add the possibility to get the “due” view for ore list

    add a

  9. Imagine this.

You conscientiously tag your Checkvist tasks. You use a lot of tags.

You find the tasks you want to work on by searching by tag.

You now want to focus on JUST the tasks (forget the tags), wouldn't it be great to be able to toggle tag visibility?

We can already toggle detail and context in various bits of the UI, how hard can it be ? :)

  10. I use tag colors as a Pro subscriber. It would be nice if the Mobile PWA app would paint with the same colors as I have set in the full Web version.

  11. The computer I use at work mangles the Checkvist pages (can't attach a picture to show), but it looks as though it were tossing out CSS conventions and displaying things so that the actual lists are not apparently or buried somewhere. Oddly, on the same computer, I do get a serviceable display when I use the Checkvist Mobile interface. I guess I can limp along that way if there is not a better solution. I saw this behavior in Chrome as well as IE and Firefox.

  12. The desktop version is almost useful in android - So close! - which would be a big advantage at times, since there are important things that can be fine there but not on mobile. With an external keyboard it works absolutely fine, but without one the most glaring lack is copy-paste to move items. There is an item for that in the help menu to the right, but unlike other items the link doesn't work. If there were just a copy and a paste option on the long press menu (aa), I would be a happy camper. Would that be…

  13. I have seen this feature in mindmapping software and would personally find it useful. For example, when I am looking at my due tasks, i tend to filter by tag. Every single task needs to be separately tagged, or it won't appear when filtered. If they inherited tags this would be more straightforwards (NB I can understand that many people may not like this, but one could make this behaviour optional)

  14. The auto completion of a task when all sub tasks are completed is useful but not in all circumstances.

For example when I manage a project I may have tasks that, in reality, are more like categories and they may contain sub-categories.

I would like to keep these always "not completed" unless I complete them manually as I may add new tasks to them later and therefore it would greatly help if they are always visible and not marked as completed with the line across (when not hiding completed tasks).

  15. Full details at https://discuss.checkvist.com/t/completed-repeating-task-reappears/143

In sum: I have a task that is set up to repeat once a week and generated 2 days before the due date. If I complete the task before the due date, I find that the task will reappear in my task list. It would be nice to have a task be completed until the next time it reoccurs.

    1. Open 2 checkvist windows on the same list
    2. Window 1: focus on one root task (shift ->)
    3. Window 2: add a root task

    What happens?
Added task is displayed in Window 1.

    What is expected?
Task is not a sub-task of task focused, so it shouldn't display.

(It also happens at other levels, but only when added task is sibling of the focused task.)

  16. I keep going back and forth between Checkvist (awesome for outlining and planning!) and Todoist (habit-forming).

The only thing that keeps drawing me back to Todoist is the ability to track # of tasks completed by day (and week). Keeping up a "streak" of 5+ tasks per day, though they are of all different shapes and sizes does something psychologically to keep me engaged with my organization system. I could of course just tally my tasks in a .txt, but it would be nice to be able to do it right in the organization system itself. Complete engagement.

    Checkvist is…

  17. If I write code snippets in the tasks body everything between angle brackets disappear. The only workaround seems to put the code inside a Markdown code block. However, I disabled Markdown globally, and enabling it would instead break code snippets using parts symbols reserved by Markdown syntax (as an asterisk for a simple formula snippet). It would be far easier to me if I could disable all interpretation of text as HTML or Markdown and just work in plain old text (I have no qualms with losing the automatic conversion of URLS to hyperlinks). For a programmer, like me, is…

  18. When I filter a list completed tasks hidden using a single filter (e.g. color: 1) parent items with a completed task of color: 1 are shown but no children.

This is counter-intuitive, any chance it could be fixed?
