UI should update faster during collaboration
When several people work simultaneously on the same list, UI updates but with a noticeable delay, about 10 seconds. It would be nice to work collaboration more instant.

Spaced Repetition
Checkvist would be awesome with spaced repetition evidence-based learning technique. Flashcards is great, until you create a large number of cards. Checkvist could solve that, with the structured organization it already have. With spaced repetition Checkvist will emerge as the only project of its kind.

Add Integromat integration in addition to Zapier
Integromat is like Zapier but some people consider its UX better:

Connected duplicate records
In complex lists I often want to put an item in two places, but keep track of where both are. My suggestion is a command similar to ^d - duplicating a record, but with a marker in each of them referring to the other - maybe a little symbol linked to the other record? Or an automatically-generated unique tag applied to both?
(The tag approach might make it easier to generate and keep track of more than two duplicates, I suppose)

Group Support - Share checkvists with a group
Add/delete people from a group and everyone in the group would have access to all checkvists viewable to the group.
When copying a checkvist - if the old checkvist was viewable by the group, the new one would be too

delete task by another user
for securtity i sugest that one user can not delete a task created by another user.
3 votesWe’re going to release read-only sharing mode soon.
Regarding deletion – if user can write to a task, it is essentially the same as being able to delete it (because I can change content to virtually nothing). -
don't consider every item as a task (setting on a per-list basis)
Most of my outline are just notes, they don't need any action -- Checkvist would become 100x more useful if I could mark out just selected items as tasks, then in checklist view I would be retrieving just the tasks from within all my outline.
It's a very simple feature (add option to turn off auto-tasking for a given list) that would add TREMENDOUS flexibilty to this amazing app. Then I truly wouldn't be able to live without it!
3 votesPlease explain what exactly do you mean by “turn of autotasking”? I also use Checkvist primarily for outlines, and see no currently. What changes do you expect?

Allow due dates for tasks to appear next to the project when project tree is collapsed
So that, with all projects collapsed to top level, I could see the closest due date of a task for each project.
3 votesIf you need due information, you can use filtering. Type ‘/’ and then due: + autocompletion.
Wouldn’t it be sufficient?

Export and Import with MindMeister via API
I'd find it very useful if Checkvist could integrate directly with MindMeister via their extensive API. List syncing (push/pull) would be very useful. It would make Checkvist an ideal interface to some basic mind maps. If you go this route, adding some sort of indication of lists that are also synced would be nice.

New action: Move task to specific locations in hierarchy
A lot of my time with CV is spent on moving incoming tasks to the right locations in the list hierarchy. Currently I am able to move a task to another list - so when i encounter a lowly task that needs grouping, I create a new list and then go back to the task and use "mm" to move it there. For example - a task "Kill duplicates on machine 2" is filed to a new "purge" list where I'm collecting cleanup tasks for a specific machine. But in a way this is wrong - such a project should…
3 votesGreat and very valid idea. I suppose you’re looking for something like http://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/7185001-allow-to-select-target-task-with-mm-shortcut

Allow to remove numbering for sub-items
I can start numbering all subitems by prefixing the leading item with [1].
What prefix can I use to stop numbering further indented subitems?
I only what the first level subitems to be numbered, and not the second level ones.3 votes -

Have list of checklists in PERMANENT view . . .
. . . from every page on the site [or most] rather than forcing users to find desired checklist from the drop down menu at the top as this take time.

Works poorly on Opera browser.
I'm on opera on Mac. Shift-move tasks around works screwy.

Add a little chat widget like in GMail
Also the ability to see who else is currently editing the document would be nice - as it is, I find notes for my attention scattered throughout the document. That's probably just my contributors, but there you go.

optional: hide the bulleting, only show on mouseover
The little arrows at the side of each outline item, used to collapse/show children, could optionally stay hidden until you hovered your mouse on that area.
I use Checkvist more for notes/ideas outlining than tasks, so the arrows really detract from the flow of the text.

bug: cut & paste doesn't work
bug: I cut & pasted a task to a new list using CTRL-X/V, in the list of lists, the count of tasks has gone up, but I can't see the task if I open the list

Checkvist the user's list of Checkvists, allowing us to organize and sort our lists any way we want.
