  2. Find all lists with a partial tag search as WorkFlowy

I'm used to tag almost every list with a date in this form #d-2015-11-19, ect

It would be very useful to search for a partial tag like #d-2015-11 that returns all the lists created in November 2015.

Is it already possible? Am I missing something?

  3. Allow users to choose their preferred font/font family.

    An easy option to implement:
    Preferences - User preferred font

  5. Allow to set custom colors, not predefined ones, for 7,8,9

This would give us 3 more colors and the flexibility to use our own color coding.

Ideally this would allow to set the forground and the background color :-)

  7. tasks stats

It should be great to have same stats of done tasks, something as karma in Todoist:)

  8. Browser bookmarklet: show top sub-levels of target list

When dropping a URL to list via the bookmarklet, the bookmarklet shows all lists. It would be great if it could show also the top 1, 2 or 3 top level of the list hierarchy.

It's ok if it can't show all, or if it can't show the most current. If some of the most important ones will be shown, that would enable dropping a link to List:Work/project/monthly meeting topics

  9. Let clients comment, even in read only

I'd like to share my list with clients read only, so they know what I'm up to, but I'd also like them to comment on tasks at hand.
It would be great if they could leave a comment on a task, without having to log in. Just leave their email address and maybe some captcha anti-spam or something.

    How does that sound?

  10. Distinguish 'start' from 'due' date for a task

Many tasks need to be addressed over a range of dates. If it's a big task, the 'due' date could be days or weeks later than the start date. Currently to model this in checkvist, uses can only try a kludge-by-convention (for example use a 'start this' subtask).

  11. Make a Permalink for filtered due list

Everything else has a permalink, but this page is *the one* that I would like as my home page: the due list, filtered by my name

  12. Sorting by priority on "All list" screen

I love that you can remove the Parent and just see tasks by using "priority: any" in search all lists. What would be very helpful would be to *then* sort by priority.

  14. Configure templates to create whole new checklists

It would be excellent to be able to create a template checklist. For programming tasks this might include "write database patches, write unit tests, write code, debug/test, release, document" etc. Each time you start a new piece of programming work, you could create a new checklist from the template (direct copy, with opportunity to change the title) and edit it as much as you like to suit the specific task you're undertaking.

In fact, this scenario already works with checkvist. See, you can copy a checklist as a whole (see the link in the toolbar). With the copy operation, you can reopen closed tasks in the target checklist. So, as long as you finished one checklist, just use is as a template for new one and use copy operation.

  15. this could be a killer "agile" project mgmt tool. user stories & tasks are lists; just need logic.

this could be the base of a killer "agile" or scrum project mgmt tool. most of these are bloated, slow, and have mouse-based UI. but user stories & tasks are just hierarchical lists. you'd just need logic for managing user stories independently of tasks, assigning tasks, moving their status along, iterations, and reporting.

  16. Email in tasks to be children of a specific task

Right now we can e-mail tasks to specific lists, which is great.

The catch is that the tasks appear at the top of the given list, which is rarely where a new task belongs.

They often belong (for me at least) as child tasks of some other task (i.e. some kind of random to-do parent task).

Could the current e-mail address scheme be modified so that it would accept "post+(secrecyCode)+(listID)+(taskID)@checkvist.com"?

  17. consider adding regex searches for tag filtering

Searching for tags like 11-Q? or work-* would be nice and quite a bit of flexibility.

  18. Parent task indicates child's due date

Currently, if I view a collapsed list item containing a child list item with a due date, no due date is visible to indicate when a child list item is due. I need to expand the list item to see if any child items have a due date.

I'd like to have the parent list item indicate the nearest due date assigned to a child list item. I think this would need to be done in a way that appears unique, different from the existing due date appearance, so if you have a due date on the parent task (i.e.,…

  19. Color Customization Fixes

A few changes that may improve the color customization options:
Make the notes background the same as the overall background (can add a border to separate) This way, if you have white on black, you can more easily read the notes
Make the Navigation and Title color apply to List names in Due List View
I would recommend adding more color options, but I feel that may go against keeping everything simple.

  20. Place moved tasks at the end of the destination list

When items are moved from one list to another, they are placed at the beginning of the list. I expected them to be placed at the end. Could that be an option or the default behavior?
