  3. I manage many different projects with Checkvist, most of which are sub-nodes/branches of a main list (to keep list management sane).

    As such, a single global iCal feed of all tasks in all lists can easily have too much "noise" to be useful for visualizing due dates for a project on a calendar.

    It would be fantastic if we could generate an iCal feed for a specific list or branch of a list. Then, only the sub-tasks of the selected list/node with due dates would be displayed in the calendar.

    This would make Checkvist's calendar integration much more usable.

  5. I want an ability to add a task to the inbox. Fast.

    It would go something like this:
    1. Press alt+space.
    2. A small box appears.
    3. Fill in some thought.
    4. Hit enter.
    5. The thought is saved to a pre-destined list. 6. Return to what you were doing before getting that irrelevant thought.

    Why? Because… When I'm in a work project and I come to think about wanting to buy a new car, I don't want to be interrupted bu this thought—instead, I'd like to hit a hot key and put the thought in my inbox.

    This short…

  6. It would be great if I could visualise my top level nodes next to each other instead of underneath each other.
    So that I can see all the sub-nodes as items on these vertical lists.

    They're called the Kanban approach, and I think it would be a great addition to CheckVist! It doesn't have to be as visual as trello, the current simple design could do! But you could use ⌘→ and ⌘← to move them between boards.

  10. Allow users to create custom fields/attributes they require for their tasks. Some users might like to assign each task with a Start Date and End Date, but someone would only prefer to have a Progress or Category attribute for each task.

  11. I tend to create a lot of lists for short projects or just for days of my life. And I hate to always remember to go and configure settings the same way.

  12. Google tasks API: https://developers.google.com/google-apps/tasks/

    It'd be great to have the excellent Checkvist interface to manipulate the Google Tasks items. I never used it because the interface is not really great.

  13. Allow a long description or note are to be added to the list, not individual items, so it persists rather than losing notes when I finish the task they're mapped to. Also easier to fit with Scott Belsky's Action Steps, Ref and Backburner method.

  15. I like to track status updates of my tasks through the notes and having the newest one on top would help.

  16. On the home page it would be nice if you could sort lists the way you want instead of just by name or last updated.

    For example, I have a list for each day of the week. I'd like to sort my lists in the order of the days of the week instead of using the workaround of adding a number to the beginning of the day.

  18. I'd love to be able to have three or more lists open, see them all as tabs, and switch back and forth with a single click . . . just like a modern browser.

    And I'd really love to be able to save a configuration of which set of lists open upon startup . . . just like a modern browser.

    ActionOutline has tabbed lists, but not the "homepage" configuration feature. For me, it's your closest rival.

  19. Create Weekly/Daily reports by list of completed tasks.
    E.g.:
    WW35 Report:
    Task 1
    * Subtask 1
    * Subtask 2
