  3. Would it be possible to include the full hierarchy of a task in the calendar feed? If the task in the calendar is a sub task the context is lost and I then need to open up the Checkvist website to understand what the task means. All this detail does not need to be in the calendar entry title - it could be in the notes. For example, I might have a list called Clients, then I might have a list of names under this, then under each name, a list of things that need to be done. If one…

  6. I usually work in the Due List view showing tasks from multiple lists. I'd like to be able to mark my current task (ideally with a one-key command). This would help me keep focused as well as refocus when I have to skip to something else.

At this time, I apply use Priority 4 (key stroke: 4) to highlight the item, but I have to change the priority back or remove it before marking the item complete.

    Here's a sample use case:
    1. With Due List view showing, select the list item to make current
    2. Press "c" or "cc"…

  7. This would be a per-list toggle, hiding any items with a future due date (or perhaps those beyond a configurable n days in the future).

This would make it more feasible to scatter due dates throughout a list that is also used for open-ended items.

This is somewhat related to https://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/399064-postpone-task-hide-until-given-date. The per-list toggle idea is conceptually (and I would guess technically) simpler, and suits my use case, but I realise may not do everything people voting for the per-task-hiding are asking for.

  8. I use multiline data entry in a cell in Checkvist. I noticed recently that when I come back again to edit the cell, the instruction line (Enter to start a new line, Cmd-Enter to complete) obstructs the data. I cannot see one line of the text. Normally I would expect the instruction line to be at the bottom of the data, but it is in the middle.

I guess this is because the instruction line has been hardcoded to be at the bottom of the default cell height, but my cell has more data than that. Here's a link to…

  9. It currently sends the separators at the bottom, I'm guessing because they don't have a color. I think sorting should ignore them and leave them in the position they were in before the sort.

  10. Hi guys!

First of all, thank you for the Checkvist, i've been a fan for a year already.
There's a lot about the mobile version, so i will add another "need".

    Priority.

You see, as i print my daily tasks (and there are many within one day), the small and unnecessary ones like "finally order pizza" get above the real ones, like "compose the advertising budget".

it would be really sweet to mark important tasks with prio 1 or 2 so that they would be shown on the list above.

Thank you for considering this and have a nice day…

  11. I would love an option to view all tasks across all lists. This may not be a frequently-used feature for teams, but it would do me a lot of good. I have a list for each big project or event, but of course I am working on many projects at any given point in time. It would be helpful to get a view of everything I have going on. Thanks!

  13. Kirill, I'm finally adding my idea from the post at https://checkvist.uservoice.com/forums/2121-general/suggestions/116119-multiple-undo-s

Apply Undo to every action, and state the action being undone in an overlay like you see when you delete or import tasks.

An example from something that's affected me would be to undo changing the order of nesting of items. On complex lists, it can be nearly impossible to deduce the previous context of an item accidentally moved.

  14. Have tasks due ASAP included when filtering for
    "due: Current Week"

Also seems like it should show up when filtering for
    "due: Tomorrow"
    "due: Current Month"
and maybe also when filtering for
    "due: next Week"
    "due: next Month"

I could see why some might not want it showing up when filtering for next week or next month, etc. but if a task is due ASAP then definitely it is one of the tasks due in the current week.

  15. Create a new "Priority" color that indicates an informational item, like light grey.

I often create a "task" to keep a group of notes together that can't be forgotten. Often times this is just informational data for projects. When prioritizing tasks the informational tasks look like everything else. A subdued color would visually indicate to me the item is not a task, but only informational.

  16. This is a natural extension to the currently implemented smart syntax for dates/reminders.

Routine life is filled with recurring tasks. So I find this feature indispensable. However, the current method in Checkvist- input form for recurring reminders - very janky even though its admittedly feature-rich.

With some brainstorming, you could be able to implement all or at least most of those features within the smart syntax.

Another advantage is an easy but significant enhancement to the features of the mobile webapp.

Two of the apps I have used in past - moo.do and Nozbe - do a good job at…

  17. I just upgraded hoping that would allow me to be able to auto-collapse a parent task once all sub tasks are marked complete. I realize the parent task gets marked complete/closed and I already had that setting on with the free account. I was really hoping I'd be able to turn on a setting that would COLLAPSE the task all the way to the parent level once all sub tasks were completed. I had been doing it manually with the shortcut before upgrading, but it doesn't seem like that is an option, even with a Pro account. I know the…

  18. Checkvist used to have a progress bar, which I'd very much prefer to the current counter visualization. Any chance to have an option to choose bar or counter?

  19. Currently, frequent http requests are sent, I assume for the syncing service.

For users concerned with bandwidth at remote places or users concerned about privacy or tracking, an option would be appreciated that prevents these frequent requests.

How about an non-default option that starts the syncing process only when explicitly requested by a menu option? Both, for the desktop and the mobile version.

  20. Use case: adding many code fragments to Checkvist. Prefixing each one with ``` is boring. Instead, Checkvist can ask to prefix the code when programming code is detected when a list item with code is pasted.
