Configure templates to create whole new checklists
It would be excellent to be able to create a template checklist. For programming tasks this might include "write database patches, write unit tests, write code, debug/test, release, document" etc. Each time you start a new piece of programming work, you could create a new checklist from the template (direct copy, with opportunity to change the title) and edit it as much as you like to suit the specific task you're undertaking.

In fact, this scenario already works with checkvist. See, you can copy a checklist as a whole (see the link in the toolbar). With the copy operation, you can reopen closed tasks in the target checklist. So, as long as you finished one checklist, just use is as a template for new one and use copy operation.

Justin, what exactly do you mean by "hackish"? Is this functionality not usable for you? What is the problem with the current implementation?

I sought out this specific feature in an online checklist service like Checkvist. While this technique does accomplish the desired goal, it feels a bit "hackish." I would prefer a list of templates to chose from in addition to simply "Add new list."
