iPhone/Android version

Current work in progress for the offline HTML5 hybrid app, please try it: https://checkvist.com/auth/mobile
We also have a separate feature pool for it:

To Kirill: HTML5 I good. About Checkvist UI yes I know, but it is not user friendly :(
-
It won't be a dedicated iPhone or Android app. What we'd like to develop is HTML5 app, which would work offline, and which would work in different devices.
Regarding iPad, you can also use existing Checkvist UI, if you enable sidebar in the 'view options' menu.

I used to be a Pro user of Remember The Milk, they had a superb native iphone app which gives reminder sounds from the phone - however the lack of sub-tasks ruined things for me.
The mobile UI is nice, but of course it can never be as smooth and easy as a native app. Please add ability to modify indentation of existing tasks - currently I have to delete a task and re-create it in a different indentation.

The app takes too many clicks and is just a little too slow. Checkboxes are needed for tasks to mark as complete and I'd prefer to have an AJAX method for adding new tasks (instead of a separate page load). Native apps are just so much faster.

Android will be the leading mobile platform soon, so i suggest focusing on it.
http://www.motherapp.com/ seems to be a great service to develop mobile services.
http://android-outliner.blogspot.com has a fairly good UI, but without any working on-line capabilities. -

This uservoice post suggests leaving comments about improvements on the blog post and the blog post directs us to uservoice to suggest comments about the mobile UI. I'm guessing here (uservoice) is the better choice.

How is the iPhone app coming? Have you opened an API for someone else to develop?

For iPad it's better to enable "Show hints" in the View options menu. Thus you'll be able to use all shortcuts listed there (the red key text is a working action link).

Just used the iPad version. Thanks to actions menu, it is quite usable. Could not delete or complete a task though.

The ability to add notes from the mobile site would be a real plus.

I'd like the ability to move tasks into a user defined order while mobile, e.g. doing refinement after a brainstorm session. Moving tasks up and down the hierarchy would be a big plus too.

You should get inspired by the "GTasks" app by Dato for Android. They do most things right.

Love the idea of an HTML5 based offline app. I don't need a specific app for my device as long as the mobile web interface is slick.
-
What we'd like to implement is a cool HTML5-based offline application, which would work on any browser supporting HTML5 offline mode. So if BlackBerry works with such technologies, it will be OK. We really don't want to create dedicated apps, when we have a chance to find a common flexible solution.

i would gladly give this all my votes, but i use a BlackBerry. Do you expect this will support BB or should I create a new entry?

Hi Kirill,
Great service. As your app will not be a game app, you might want to consider developing using cross-platform tools. You can check http://developer.openplug.com/ for example.
I am biased because I work for OpenPlug... and I love your service

Basic Mobile UI definitely needs ability to collapse items and filter/view by tag.

It's great that you have a mobilve version of the site but you guys should really consider streamlining how you interact with the items on your list. Google Tasks does a decent job of it and the feature I think you need most is a "complete" checkbox next to each item. Or, if you gave each item a little more space and applied a swipe action like Google's mobile gmail does for archiving. You could even give the options to delete or complete the item.
