Sorry, we don't have estimates for this. The work was started, though.

Having native iPhone app is critical, and aside from have a good program in the first place this is the most important thing of all. The only good list app / todo app is the one you have with you. You can't take a laptop everywhere!
The native mobile app should work the same way as the regular online app, and it should sync with it ---- not with Dropbox because my company and all the companies that my company work with have blocked and prohibited Dropbox (and Evernote, and web email, and etc.).

The lack of a decent Android app to allow using Checkvist with the logic(if ease is too much to ask) of the web app, is what holds me upgrading to Pro version.
I really have no idea if developing an excellent Android app for Checkvist will be faster than Workflowy expanding its features towards what Checkvist has now.
I can't wait for news on this topic. -

a drag'n'drop -based UI would also benefit desktop users with mouse preference.

Hello Gabe,
You can write us to kirsa@checkvist.com.
By third party I mean that the tool is being written not by Checkvist team and not under our control :-)

What's the email address to contact? By third-party do you mean that Checkvist is not associated with the development?
-
Currently, there is a native third-party iPhone app in development, and prototypes are already available. The app is not very powerful, and doesn't provide many features of Checkvist yet, but it works.
If you're really interested in trying, testing, and providing real feedback, please send me an e-mail - I'll contact you with the developers.
Thanks,

Is the iOS native app still in development? Looks like the last real update about was a year ago.
Without a native app, I'd suggest the mobile design be modernized. It's quite awkward to work in. It's almost unusable for any real work on an iPhone. The iPad version is quite nice.

@sityu, thanks for the suggestion! We're thinking about some redesign of the Checkvist UI and we'll keep in mind your suggestion so tablets could work better.

I use checkvist regularly. I have a samsung galaxy tab 7" tablet. So I use the checkvist with this tablet. I tried sevaral possibilities. I've found that the browser is the best available to edit checkvist.
It works good, but not perfect. I use the sidebar-hints' links to edit the nodes.
I did a screen mockup about the required version of the checkvist: http://i.imgur.com/cQcIc.pngthe reqiured changes:
-http://t.checkvist.com/checklists url for the tablet version of the site;
-the tablet version should be fixed width;
-and in the tablet version the sidebar-hints should be converted to a table, always shown at the bottom of the page;That's it! Not a big deal. And it works (I use the sidebar properly, but without the sideways slide of the screen, it would be much easier!)
Please, do it!

I would really love to have searching or filtering capability on the mobile version.
Also is there an android app in the works too?
Thanks for your hard work!

Vishal, which functionality of the full version of the checkvist you need in the mobile app?

Pablo, we don't have an estimate for the release. We do want to develop the app in the nearest future, and we plan to provide the initial version in this year, but we don't have detailed plan with precise estimate.

Hi!
I just wanted to know if there is any estimated date for the iPhone app release. I am currently testing some task managing platforms and Checkvist is my favourite, however I the iPhone integration would be a must (the mobile UI is not user friendly enough and doesn't have push notifications, etc... ;( )
Thanks for your support!
